Streptococcus mutans is one of the major cariogenic microbial flora. In an attempt to determine the mutagenic effect of diode laser on the viability and antibiotic sensitivity of this bacteria; A total of 30 samples were collected from dental caries. The isolates were identified using by conventional identification methods and confirmed using VITEK2 system. Twenty-one isolates were recorded as Streptococcus spp and ten of them were identified as Streptococcus mutans. This study examined the effect of essential oils extracted from peel of Citrus paradisi and Citrus sinensis on two species of fungi: Penicillium oxalicum and Fusarium oxysporum as well as effect of two fungicides: Carbendazim and Thiophanatemethyl against above fungi. Results showed that the essential oil of Citrus paradisi inhibited the radial growth of Penicillium oxalicum and Fusarium oxysporum at concentration 4%. Nevertheless, the essential oil of Citrus sinensis inhibited the radial growth at concentration 5 and 4%, respectively.        Hydrothermal process method using different dimensions reactors with volume 100 ml (homemade) was employed to prepare titanium sub-oxide Ti₆O₁₁, where  one gram of TiO₂ nanoparticles 30-50 nm and 3M (20 ml) of NaOH as suspension was used . The samples are characterized using X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, and Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM). X-ray diffraction revealed the formation of sub- oxide titanium Ti₆O₁₁ of triclinic structure with Magneli phase, when the temperature applied was 363K for 9h.While FE-SEM showed uniform hierarchical structures with planar grass-like shapes. A novel phase has been found from rutile titanium.
