In this study, polymeric coating was developed by incorporating nano graphene in the polymer blend with applications to oil storage tanks. The oil storage tanks samples were brought from the oil Pipeline Company / Doura refinery in Baghdad. The coating polymer was formed with a blend (epoxy resin and repcoat ZR). The proportion of mixing the mixture was 3:1:1 epoxy resin 21.06 gm: repcoat ZR 10.53 gm: hardener 10.53 gm. The blend/graphene was prepared using in stui-polymerization method with different weight percentage 1, 3, 5, and 7 wt % added to blend. So a sample of (344) male and female student of the morning study of education colleges from the two universities of Baghdad and al Mustansria for the academic year 2012-2013.

In this paper, some series of new complexes of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni (II) Cu(II) and Hg(II) are prepared from the Schiff bases (L1,L2). (L1) derived from 4-aminoantipyrine and O-phenylene dia mine then (L2) derived from (L1) and 2-benzoyl benzoic acid. Structural features are obtained from their elemental microanalyses, molar conductance, IR, UV–Vis, 1H, 13CNMR spectra and magnetic susceptibility. The magnetic susceptibility and UV–Vis, IR spectral data of the ligand (L1) complexes get square–planar and tetrahedral geometries and the complexes oflig and (L2) get an octahedral geometry. Antimicrobial examinations show good results in the sharing complexes.

This study was conducted to evaluate the pathogenicity of Beauveria bassiana to the Homaira insect Batrachedra. amydraula under laboratory conditions. The dilution 1 x 10-2 showed a significant and high mortality rates on the eggs, first and fifth instars of the homaira larvae which reaches 100%, 96.19% and 91.20% after 7 days from treatment. However mortality rates found to be decreased to 88.97% for fifth instar after 10 days from treatment, while results showed parasitism potentially reaches 94.50% in pupae and 90.22% in adults.

Laboratory studies were conducted at the biological control unit, college of Agriculture, University of Baghdad to evaluate some biological aspects of the predator Chilocorus bipustulatus (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae), which is considered one of the most important predators on many insect pests, especially the scale insect, Parlatoria blanchardi, (Homoptera: Diaspididae) on date palms. The results showed that biological parameters of the predator were varied according to different degree of temperature. A new Schiff base, 2-N( 4- N,N – dimethyl benzyliden )5 – (p- methoxy phenyl) – 1,3,4- thiodiazol ,and their metal complexes Cu (Π) ,Ni (Π),         Fe (III) , Pd (Π) , Pt (IV) , Zn(Π) ,V(IV) and Co (Π) , were synthesized.
