We have studied the effect of gamma irradiation on the optical transmission, absorbance, absorption coefficient,  and Urbach energy for (PMMA- doped red methyl) film deposited by using solvent casting method .The optical transmission (T %) in the wavelength range (1901100 ) nm of films was measured , it was seen that all the parameters were affected by gamma irradiation.

The study included gross morphology and pollen of plants – which collected during field trips , and dry ones for most specimen preserved with the Iraqi herbaria – related to the genus Lycopus L. , and to identify the unidentified species and rectify the error there in , so according to that the species L. europaeus L. only were specified for the genus . Through this work the varity L. europaeus var. glabrescens Schmidely were found at the first time , and suggested to record anew for Iraq . Pollen were of medium size, and had an ellipsoid shape in the equatorial view , and hexagonal in the polar view.     The morphological characters of   Satureja L.  species which is grown in Iraq were studied in detail ,starting from root,stem,leaves ,inflorescences ,flowers and fruits .The current study revelid that the characters of calyx and corolla have great important taxonomically ,besides the variations in the shape and size of leaves and bract ,figures were drawen  ,schedules and plates have been prepared.The indumentums study showed  that the trichomes have important taxonomically value of both glandular and eglandular hairs.

In present study, an attempt has been made to investigate the effect of Chlorpyrifos insecticide on carp Cyprinus carpio L. through acute toxicity bioassay. The LC50 were estimated as 1897, 1266, 985 and 792 μg/L during 24 , 48, 72 and 96 hr. respectively by using the concentrations 500 , 1000, 1500 , 2000, 2500 and 3000 μg/L indicating high sensitivity of fish to chlorpyrifos. The behavioral response observed in the fish were erratic swimming, loss of reflex, hyperactivities, decrease in appetite secretion of mucus, increase movement of operculum and hyperventilation . These effects increased with increasing concentration of the chlorpyrifos and duration of exposure.

In this paper, the time-fractional Fisher’s equation (TFFE) is considered to exam the analytical solution using the Laplace q-Homotopy analysis method (Lq-HAM)”. The Lq-HAM is a combined form of q-homotopy analysis method (q-HAM) and Laplace transform. The aim of utilizing the Laplace transform is to outdo the shortage that is mainly caused by unfulfilled conditions in the other analytical methods. The results show that the analytical solution converges very rapidly to the exact solution.

This article conclude a theoretical study for the possibility to produce additional electric power from Iraqi steam power plants by  cutting – off high-pressure feed water heaters .  Three separated steam power plants which Dura , south –Baghdad and Nasria were studied . The investigation showed the possibity of increasing the electric power from 10 to 15% for Dura and Nasria , whereas 6% for south – Baghdad . According to the nowadays of operation to Iraqi steam power plants , the results showed that by cutting–off high  pressure feed water heaters we can generate additional electric power about 250 MW during 3-4 hrs. daily.
