Effect of Crud Colicin Extracted From Escherichia coli on Phagocytosis in Uitro

The   effect of crude colicin extracted from E. coli  isolated from

urinary tract infection patients on phagocytosis in vitro was studied . Results showed that the effect of crude colicin on phagocytic cells and their activities  were concentration  dependent.  Low concentration  (50

Mg/ml) have no significant effect (p>O.OS) on shape, size, migration and  engulfment  activity  of  phagocytic cells,  while (50, 100  Mg/ml)

 

enhanced killing activity and increase superoxide ( 02   ) production as indicated by (NBT) test. But high concentration (500 mg/ml) of crude colicin caused inhibition of phagocytic cells activities, that leads to inhibition in non-spesfic immunity.

25, 50  mg/ml)  didn't  have  toxic  effects,  but  when  there  was an increase  in  the  consternation  of  this  extract, the    viability  of  the immune cell s began to decrease.

Effect of LPS Extracted from Campylobacter coli on Lymphocyte Transformation

Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) of Campylobacter coli was extracted by using
digestive enzyme and hot phenol method. The effect of LPS on lymphocyte
transform was studies by lymphocyte transformation index for twenty blood samples
were collected from apparently healthy control.
The results were showed significant differences (P< 0.05) between samples which
treatrd with phytohemagglutnin PHA (66.1 ± 0.6) and the samples which treated
with LPS of C. coli (74.2 ± 0.8) when compared with control, this lead to suggest
that the LPS extracted from C. coli may play a role as a mitogen to transformed
lymphocytes.

Thirty uropathogenic E. coli isolates were isolated from hospitalized and non hospitalized patients, complaining of urinary tract infections, of Al-Kadhymia Teaching Hospital and subjected to tRNA extraction. A method of tRNA extraction was modified by adding sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) instead of urea. Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and two methods of staining, ethidium bromide staining and silver staining, as well as spectrophotometric detection were used.

Effect of Lactobacilli sources on Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus adherence to uroepithelial cells

The inhibitory action of four lactobacilli isolates Lactobacillus bulgaricus, L. acidophilus, L. plantarum and L. fermentum, isolated from four different samples; yoghurt, vinegar, saliva and vagina respectively, on Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus adhesion to uroepithelial cells were investigated. Results showed that all Lactobacillus isolates or their supernatant were able to reduce the number of the uropathogens attached to uroepithelial cells. However, inhibition level of lactobacilli cells was higher than their supernatant. Nevertheless, the human indigenous lactobacilli (L. fermentum and L. plantarum) were more competitive than food lactobacilli (L. acidophilus and L. bulgaricus).

Antibiogram of Escherichia coli Isolated from different Hospitals Wastewater in Erbil City, Iraq

Effect of vibrio cholerae enterotoxin on phagocytosis in vitro

Enterotoxin of Vibrio cholerae was extracted by cooling centrifuge at 6.000 rpm for 30 minntes. and filtrated by using milipore filter (0.22 ?m). The effect of crude enterotoxin on phagocytosis was studied by measuring the phagocytic index for 20 blood sample which were collected from healthy people and treated with enterotoxin in addition to control samples. From the results we found that phagocytic index of blood sample which were treated with enterotoxin was 42.9% while the phagocytic index of control blood samples was 64%. This means that there is a negative effect for the enterotoxin resulted from vibrio choleaa on the activity of phagocytic index.
