The  result shows that mean age of the subjects was  49.02± 8.3 years, and the 23.5% were Free  profession ; about (24.5%)  of patient with myocardial infarction  were smokers. Analyses of results by (chi-square test ) show that (unemployment, low educational level, Family history for hypertension, overweight, chronic diseases: there is a high significant association between hypertension and myocardial infarction,  smoking and lipid profile )  were significant  factors  associated with myocardial in fraction  . Conclusions  This study showed the rate of myocardial infraction  was 12.5 %  among age group (51-60) year,  factors that were associated with higher rate of myocardial infraction  were unemployment, low educational level, Family history for hypertension, overweight and chronic diseases: there is a high significant association between hypertension and myocardial infarction,  smoking and lipid profile.

A Proposed Artificial Intelligence Algorithm for Assessing of Risk Priority for Medical Equipment in Iraqi Hospital
...Show More Authors

This paper presents a robust algorithm for the assessment of risk priority for medical equipment based on the calculation of static and dynamic risk factors and Kohnen Self Organization Maps (SOM). Four risk parameters have been calculated for 345 medical devices in two general hospitals in Baghdad. Static risk factor components (equipment function and physical risk) and dynamics risk components (maintenance requirements and risk points) have been calculated. These risk components are used as an input to the unsupervised Kohonen self organization maps. The accuracy of the network was found to be equal to 98% for the proposed system. We conclude that the proposed model gives fast and accurate assessment for risk priority and it works as p

The current study is designed to achieve the goal of early detection of heart disease because it is the main risk of death. Some biomarkers were measured as well as the percentage of the effect of certain risk factors in people with myocardial infarction and heart failure. The study included 40 serum samples from people with heart disease. The effectiveness of the creatine kinase (CK-MB), as well as its temporal and albumin effects, as well as sodium ions in people with myocardial infarction and heart failure, were compared with the control group. as shown below:

-The first group consisted of 25 blood samples from people with myocardial infarction and 15 serum samples from people with heart failure. Blood

Evaluation of Serum Apelin in Acute Coronary Syndrome Patients
...Show More Authors

Background: Acute coronary syndrome refers to any group of clinical symptoms compatible with acute myocardial ischemia including unstable angina (UA), Non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) & ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI).
Apelin is a novel endogenous peptide with inotropic and vasodilatory properties, it was recently reported that serum measurements of apelin were similar to its immunohistochemical data in vessels and heart tissues.
Objectives: This study aims to evaluate serum levels of apelin in patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome related to severity of presentation.
Patients and Methods: The present study was conducted during the period from September 2014 until March 2015. Fifty-n
