Spectrophotometric Determination of Chlorpromazine -HCI by Ion -Pair Complex Formation with Acid Dyes

A simple, rapid, accurate and sensitive spectrophotometric method is  proposed  for  the  detennination  of chlorprQm<tZine -HCl  in  pwe form  and  in pharmaceutical  formulation. This method is based on the formation.  of ion  assodation complexes  of  dmg   with either  thymol

blue or  bromophenol  blue  in an acidic buffer at pH  values 4.17  and

3.68, respectively.

The ion-pair  complexes  formed exhibit absorption maxima  at 41 Onm for  both  thymol   blue and  bromophenol  blue.  These  complexes· are quantitatively extracted   with chloroform.  The  calibration  graphs  are tmear and obeyed  Bee 's law in a cort.ce n:at_ion range of 50-450fg!ml and   H:}-120)lg/ml  w1th  molar   absorptttvttes  of   L0374xl0    and

1.7613xl03   Lmorcm·1    for  thymol   blue   ,and   bromophenol   blue,

respectively.

Statistical  treatment  of  the  experimental  results   indicated  that  the method   is  precise,  accurate   and   the   procedure    was   successfully applied  to the determination of the bulk drug and its pharrnaceutic;al fpnnulations.

Gamma ray effect on the properties of R590 and C480 laser dyes

In the current research, we investigated the absorption spectrum for R590 and C480 dyes in ethanol solvent for different dye solution concentrations of 10-4, 10-5 and 10-6M. These dyes have been prepared and studied before and after gamma irradiation (first, second ionization) using cesium-137 source with absorbed doses of 18.36 Gy (time exposure of 10 days) and 73.44 Gy (with time exposure of 40 days). An Embedded 5(4) Pair of Optimized Runge-Kutta Method for the Numerical Solution of Periodic Initial Value Problems

      This paper presents an alternative method for developing effective embedded optimized Runge-Kutta (RK) algorithms to solve oscillatory problems numerically.   The embedded scheme approach has algebraic orders of 5 and 4. By transforming second-order ordinary differential equations (ODEs) into their first-order counterpart, the suggested approach solves first-order ODEs. The amplification error, phase-lag, and first derivative of the phase-lag are all nil in the embedded pair. The alternative method’s absolute stability is demonstrated. The numerical tests are conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed approach in comparison to other RK approaches. The alternative approach outperforms the current RK methods

Formation Silver Nanoparticles of Different Size Using Different Reductants with AgNO3 Solution

In this study, silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are synthesized using different chemical routes to obtain different sizes and shapes of nanoparticles by colloid chemistry with using stabilizing and reducing agent, which make them interesting for variety of physical applications. The morphology and structure of the synthesized AgNPs were characterized by UV-VIS spectra, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Zeta potential to demonstrate that different sizes and shapes can by synthesized by different reductants in the presence of various stabilizing agents.

Ion Beam Focusing in Solenoid Magnetic Field

   The present study investigates the main parameters effect on the solenoid design as converging lens of charged particle beam passing through it. These parameters are solenoid magnetic field (B), solenoid radius (Ro) and the solenoid total length (L). The result indicates that the solenoid system is very sensitive to the change of these parameters. The solenoid acts as converge lens but may convert to diverging lens at some conditions. The best design obtained at (L=1100 mm, B=5000 gauss and Ro=150 mm).

Simultaneous Determination of Cephalexin and Cefixime by First and Second Derivative Ultraviolet Spectrophotometry

A new spectrophotometric method for individual and simultaneous determination of cefixime and cephalexin depending on the first and second derivative mode techniques. The first and second derivative spectra of these compounds permitted individual and simultaneous determination of cefixime and cephalexin in concentration interval of (4– 24μg.ml-1 ) by measuring the amplitude of peak-to-base line, pea to peak at certain wavelengths and the area under peak at selected spectrum intervals. The methods showed reasonable precision and accuracy and have been applied to determine cefixime and cephalexin in two different pharmaceutical preparations.
