In this research, the structural and optical properties were studied for Bi2O3 and Bi2O3: Al thin films with different doping ratios ( 1, 2, 3 ) % , which were prepared by thermal evaporation technique under vacuum , with thickness ( 450 ± 20 ) nm deposited on glass substrates at room temperature ( 300 ) K , Structural measurements by ( XRD) techniques demonstrated that all samples prepared have polycrystalline structure with tetragonal structure and a preferred orientation [ 201 ] the optical measurement shows that all films have a direct energy gap , and in general decrease with the increase of doping ratio except ratio ( 3% Al ) . The optical constant such as absorption coefficient , extinction coefficient , refractive index real and imaginary parts of the dielectric constant and optical conductivity were calculated before and after doping with the range of wave lengths ( 300 - 1100 ) nm .
A pulsed (TEA-0O2) laser was used to dissociate molecules of silane ethylene (C2I-14) and ammonia (NH3) gases, through collision assisted multiple photon dissociation (MPD) to deposit(SiC i_xNx) thin films, where the X-values are 0, 0.13 and 0.33, on glass substrate at T,----648 K. deposition rate of (0.416-0.833) nm/pulse and thickness of (500-1000)nm .Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (FT-IR) was used to study the nature of the chemical bonds that exist in the films. Results revealed that these films contain complex networks of the atomic (Si, C, and N), other a quantity of atomic hydrogen and chemical bonds such as (Si-N, C-N, C-14 and N-H).Absorbance and Transmittance spectra in the wavelength range (400-1100) nm were used to stud

A concentration of 0.1g/ml of polyvinyl alcohol solution in water was prepared for four samples, with various concentrations of plant pigment (0, 15, 25 and 50) % added to each of the four solutions separately for preparing (PVA with low concentrated dye , PVA with medium concentrated dye and PVA with high concentrated dye ) thin films respectively . Ultraviolet absorption regions were obtained by computerized UV-Visible (CECIL 2700). Optical properties including (absorbance, reflectance, absorption coefficient, energy gap and dielectric constant) via UV- Vis were tested, too. Fourier transform infra

Pulsed-laser deposition (PLD) technique was used to fabricate the films on a glass substrate. The structure of films is studied by using techniques of x-ray diffraction, SEM, and EDX. Thermal annealing was performed on these films at 450°C to introduce its effect on the characteristics of these films. The films were doped with a silver element at different doping levels and both electrical and gas sensing characteristics were studied and compared to those of the undoped films. Reasonable enhancements in these characteristics were observed and attributed to the effects of thermal annealing

X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern showed that the graphene oxide have a sharp peak at (001) with d-spacing d001= 7.4Å at angle 2ϴ=11.85˚and graphene has broad peak at (002) with d-spacing d002=3.4Å at angle 2ϴ= 25.72˚ with lattice constant (a=2.47 Å). The particle size was calculated by using equation Debye - Scherer and Williamson - Hall equations, Scanning electron microscopy examination and particle size analyzer proved that the graphene Flakes were in nano size. Also the surface area of nanoparticles showed a value 270 m2/g . The micrographs of (scanning electron microscopy) showed that graphene oxide has a fluffy aggregation a

The laser interaction in Al target (99.99%) under air atmosphere generates plasma, which is produced at room temperature; with variation in the energy laser from 600-900 mJ. The electron temperature and the electron density have been determined by optical emission spectroscopy and by assuming a local thermodynamic equilibrium (LTE) of the emitting species. Finally the electron temperature was calculated by the Boltzmann plot from the relative intensities of spectral lines and electron density was calculated by the Stark-broadening of emission line.
In this study, SnO2 nanoparticles were prepared from cost-low tin chloride (SnCl2.2H2O) and ethanol by adding ammonia solution by the sol-gel method, which is one of the lowest-cost and simplest techniques. The SnO2 nanoparticles were dried in a drying oven at a temperature of 70°C for 7 hours. After that, it burned in an oven at a temperature of 200°C for 24 hours. The structure, material, morphological, and optical properties of the synthesized SnO2 in nanoparticle sizes are studied utilizing X-ray diffraction. The Scherrer expression was used to compute nanoparticle sizes according to X-ray diffraction, and the results needed to be scrutinized more closely. The micro-strain indi

Show MoreIn the present work, a Z-scan technique was used to study the nonlinear optical properties, represented by the nonlinear refractive index and nonlinear absorption coefficients of the Ag nanoparticles. In this technique, a pulsed second harmonic Nd :YAG laser at wavelength 532 nm was used. The results show that the nonlinear refractive index and nonlinear absorption coefficients of the Ag nanoparticles are found to be dependent on the size these nanoparticles.
