Effect of Pressure on Fabrty- Perot Interferometer Fringes Pattern.

A design and construction of Fabry -Perot Interometer  system  were achivcd to spcify  and  calculate wavelengths to the neart  nanometers for spectroscopic research investigation, this  accuracy  required  for as the refractive index is a function of pressure on the medium   when the space between  the two windows is keptn constant .

He-Ne  laser (632.8)  nrn and  the green  laser (532)  nm  were  used  as

coherent sources.

Lasers of  (632.8)  & (532)nm  respeCtively,  were  used  as  coherent sources. Results  showed accuracy  of (0.2)nm in determining  the wavelength when  (lOO) mm  Hg difference in  pressure  was  applied  . The   wavelength  and   the   refractive  index   were   calculated  when prcesure   was  varied  the  rough  Fabrt  -Perot  interferometer for  bth wavelengths.

Propanol Vapor Sensor Utilizing Air-Gap as Sensing Part of the Mach-Zehnder Interferometer

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate a simple high sensitivity vapor sensor for propanol ((CH3)2CHOH). A free space gap was employed in two arms of a Mach-Zehnder interferometer to serve as the sensing mechanism by adding propanol volume (0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, and 1) ml and to set the phase reference with a physical spacing of (0.5, 1, 1.5, and 2) mm. The propagation constant of transmitted light in the Mach-Zehnder interferometer’s gap changes due to the small variation in the refractive index inside sensing arm that will further shift the optical phase of the signal.
