The seasonal variation of two groups of Zooplankton were studied in Diyala river and two branches , about 30Km from Diyala dam It was found that there are differences in the distribution of the two groups . Atotal of six species were identified of Copepoda in Diyala river and its two branches . The species are Cyclops vernalis . C . visinus , C . dimorphus , Mesocyclops laukartu ,Paracyclops affinis and Diaptomus reighardi , where recorded high annual density in Khalis stream . Its annual density was between 0.55 – 20.66 Ind . / L. Wheras, Cladocera group 14 species were identified . and the most disturbance species were Bosmina longirostris , B . corigoni , Moina micrura , Alonella excise , Leptodra kiniditii . However , the annual density was ranged between 1.68 – 29.38 Ind . / L, and the highest annual density for Bosmina longirostris was 29.38 Ind . / L . in Diyala river b
The changes of the tectonic boundary locations between the stable and unstable shelf on different version of the tectonic maps of Iraq is discussed. It is found that the location of the boundary varies due to philosophy and the type of the geological parameters. It is used the stratigraphic, geophysical, structural, geochemical, hydrological and others information in delineating the boundary. The deep crustal structures obtained by using gravity data show that the boundary shifted toward the west by about 100 km in southern Iraq. The Skyrme–Hartree–Fock (SHF) method with MSK7 Skyrme parameter has been used to investigate the ground-state properties for two-neutron halo nuclei 6He, 11Li, 12Be and 14Be. These ground-state properties include the proton, neutron and matter density distributions, the corresponding rms radii, the binding energy per nucleon and the charge form factors. These calculations clearly reveal the long tail characterizing the halo nuclei as a distinctive feature.

The dipstick test was evaluated for sero-diagnosis of visceral leishmaniasis. We compared two types of dipstick (rKE16, rK39) tests . The sensitivity of both tests were determined using sera from fifty-two children suspected of having visceral leishmaniasis and thirty healthy children as a control group collected from Central Teaching Hospital of Pediatric in Baghdad. Fifty (96.15%) cases were confirmed to have infection by rKE16 dipstick test while, fourty-six (88.46%) cases were positive by rK39 dipstick test. Non of the sample taken from healthy control showed reactivity in any of these tests. The study indicated that rKE16 test had better sensitivity than rK39 in the diagnosis of VL(100%) ,(92 %) respectively.
On-site pit is the most common option that may be used to dispose drilling wastes. The contents of these pits vary, depending on the lithology of formations drilled and the drilling mud ,and different chemical additives.
