A study on the impact of ascending levels of crude oil on the growth of transplanted seedlings ( March2005 ) of Olive (Olea europaea Linn) was carried out at the experimental area of Iraq Natural History Museum and Research centre / Baghdad University (Bab-Al-Madham –Baghdad)  grown under field condition  and continued till April 2008.The experiment was laid out in complete randomized design ( CRD ) with five levels of pollution (0.0 , 0.5 , 1.0 , 2.0 and 3.0 liter / seedling ) poured at the soil surface , each seedling represented one replicate and was replicated four times .      In this research, a type of gram negative bacteria was exposed to non-thermal plasma at a distance of (2 and 3 cm) from the plasma flow nozzle, with the use of an alternating power supply (5KHz), where exposure was made at two different voltages (4.9 and 8 kV). A negative gram of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria was isolated and exposed to non-thermal plasma at different flow rates of argon gas whose value ranged from (1-5) liters/minute. The results showed that bacterial killing rate is directly proportional to distance while exposing the samples to non-thermal plasma, and the best factors by which a complete killing rate was obtained were at a distance of 2 cm with a voltage of 8 kV and a gas flow rate of 5 liters/min,

The present study focuses on the biological strategy for treating cancer and parasitic infections, such as leishmaniasis antiparasitic activity, forthe crude alcoholic extract ofFicus leaves and their extracted total flavonoids with a comparison between their effects.The flavonoids were extracted from the leaves of the mature Ficuscaricausing the reflux extraction method. Total flavonoids were detected qualitatively by TLC techniquewhich demonstratedthat the plant was rich indifferent flavonoids, especially Rutin, Quercetin, Kaempferol, luteolin and others. The main objective of this study is to examine the impact of moisture concrete of clayey soil on the concrete slabs placed directly over it. This experimental study presents the mechanical properties of the concrete slab when placed on different clayey soil moisture content ranging from 0% to the optimum moisture content of 35%. The tests were performed on soil concrete specimens of 25*30*50 mm exposed to sprayed water curing conditions for 28 days. Tests of compressive strength, ultrasonic pulse velocity, crack depth and crack width were investigated through this paper. This study compares the effects of plasma jet and plasma-activated water on teeth root canals contaminated with Escherichia coli bacteria. A plasma jet system was developed for biological purposes that operate at atmospheric pressure. The plasma jet works with argon gas and is generated by a power supply, which supplies a sinusoidal alternating voltage of 12 kV of 20 kHz frequency. The system was optically diagnosed, as it was found that the peaks of the nitrogen spectrum were obtained at the wavelength (300- 450) nm with the appearance of hydroxide peaks at 380 nm. Four localities were selected in Euphrates River and Ramadi sewage treatment plant to collect water samples monthly during the period between October 2001 to July 2002 . Total cell count of phytoplankton and its physico- chemical concentrations were determined . The study aimed to demonstrate the effect of Ramadi sewage treatment plant on Euhprates River . It is concluded that the sewage had an dilution effect for the total hardness , total alkalinity , electrical conductivity and salinity of Euphrates River , but it is also caused in the presence of a contaminated area . This study was carried out in the bee laboratory in the Faculty of Agriculture –University of Kufa in September 2021 to evaluate some protein sources and hive products against the oriental hornet Vespa orientalis Linnaeus 1771 (Hymenoptera: Vespidae). The food sources included: beef meat, gut fish, beef lung, honeybee, wax, propolis, pollen, bee worker, and water, in addition to control which was an empty petri dish. The number of visits and their duration were calculated. The results showed that the wasps preferred bee honey and wax significantly higher than the rest of the stimuli.
