In this article, we introduce a two-component generalization for a new generalization type of the short pulse equation was recently found by Hone and his collaborators. The coupled of nonlinear equations is analyzed from the viewpoint of Lie’s method of a continuous group of point transformations. Our results show the symmetries that the system of nonlinear equations can admit, as well as the admitting of the three-dimensional Lie algebra. Moreover, the Lie brackets for the independent vectors field are presented. Similarity reduction for the system is also discussed.

A fault is an error that has effects on system behaviour. A software metric is a value that represents the degree to which software processes work properly and where faults are more probable to occur. In this research, we study the effects of removing redundancy and log transformation based on threshold values for identifying faults-prone classes of software. The study also contains a comparison of the metric values of an original dataset with those after removing redundancy and log transformation. E-learning and system dataset were taken as case studies. In this article, we introduce a class of modules that is analogous of generalized extending modules. First  we define a module M to be a generalized ECS if and only if for each ec-closed submodule A of M, there exists a direct summand D of M such that  is singular, and then we locate generalized ECS between the other extending generalizations. After that we present some of characterizations of generalized ECS condition. Finally, we show that the direct sum of a generalized ECS need not be generalized ECS and deal with decompositions for be generalized ECS concept.

The influence of bias current on the bandwidth of chaotic signals in semiconductor lasers by optical feedback has been studied experimentally and numerically. The measured data reveal that the bandwidth increase when the system becomes chaotic and this chaotic signal has a broadband spectrum so it can be used as a carrier for the quantum key. Mixing chaotic signal and quantum key make a very small change in chaotic bandwidth that does not affect the security of data transmitted.

This study evaluated the knowledge and practice of breast self-examination (BSE), among a sample of educated Iraqi women. The study sample comprised 858 women aged 18–62 years affiliated to 6 major Iraqi universities, categorized according to occupation as teaching staff (11.5%), administrative staff (18.0%) and students (70.5%). Data were collected by a self-completed questionnaire. In all, 93.9% of the women had heard about BSE, the main source of information was television (39.9%), doctors (18.4%) and the awareness campaign of the Iraqi National Breast Cancer Research Programme (11.6%).
