In this study, a low-cost biosorbent, dead mushroom biomass (DMB) granules, was used for investigating the optimum conditions of Pb(II), Cu(II), and Ni(II) biosorption from aqueous solutions. Various physicochemical parameters, such as initial metal ion concentration, equilibrium time, pH value, agitation speed, particles diameter, and adsorbent dosage, were studied. Five mathematical models describing the biosorption equilibrium and isotherm constants were tested to find the maximum uptake capacities: Langmuir, Freundlich, Redlich-Peterson, Sips, and Khan models. A series of new Schiff bases and 1, 3-Oxazepine derivatives have been synthesised from condensation compound (1,1 -bis (4-aminophenyl) -4-phenyl cyclohexane [C1] with different aromatic aldehydes in the presence of catalytic glacial acetic acid to produce the Schiff bases [2-4]. These Schiff bases were reacted with maleic anhydride and phthalic anhydride in dry benzene to give seven-membered heterocyclic ring derivatives [5-10].  The structure formula of these compounds were confirmed by using FT-IR, (¹H and ¹³C) NMR spectroscopy. The synthesized compounds were screened for their anti‐bacterial activity using ampicillin as a standard drug.

New simple and sensitive spectrophotometric methods for the determination of paracetamol in aqueous medium were developed. The first method is based on coupling of paracetamol with p-amino-2-hydroxy sodium benzoate (AHB) in the presence of sodium periodate, as oxidizing agent, to form a brownish-orange compound which shows a λmax at 470 nm. The molar absorptivity (εmax) of the colored product was found to be (3371) l. mole1. cm-1 and Sandel’s index 0.0449 μg. cm-2. calculated in the present work by using the a2-ratio methods.    In one work we applied this method for two cases,   the first one is for pure transition and the sacend one is for non pure transition, We take into account the experimental a2-coefficient for previous works and δ -values for one transition only.The results obtained are, in general, in a good agreement within associated errors, with those reported previously , the discrepancies that occur are due to inaccuracies existing in the experimental data of the previous works.
