A number of nitrones have been synthesized in three different procedures, starting with N-phenyl hydroxylamine, followed by the condensation reaction with some selected aldehydes. Furthermore, these nitrones were employed in the preparation of a number of new isoxazolidines. Cycloaddition reaction of nitrones to styrene produced the desired products.

Background:- Cholesterol is high in ascetic fluid due
to malignancy and other causes of exudates.
Objective:-To use cholesterol as a marker to
differentiate between exudative and transudative
ascetic fluid and to compare that with other routine
parameters.
Methods:-Twenty eight patients were included in this
study 17 females with mean age of 41.9 years, 11
males with mean age of 48.2 years. The patients were
divided in group I suspected transudate, and group II
suspected exudate according to history and clinical
examination.
Ascetic fluid samples were sent for total protein,
albumin, and cholesterol measurement blood samples
were sent for serum protein and albumin measurement.

Determination of isotopic composition of strontium and Rubidium in some geological samples was performed by using thermal ionization mass spectrometry. The optimum evaporation and ionization currents were determined for each of strontium and Rubidium, employing double rhenium filament by using faraday cup as detector. This research presents an experimental investigation on the influence of metakaolin replacement percentage upon some properties of different concrete types. Three types of concrete were adopted (self- compacted concrete, high performance concrete and reactive powder concrete) all of high sulphate (SO3) percentage from the fine aggregate weight, 0.75%. Three percentages of metakaolin replacement were selected to be studied (5, 7 and 10) %. Three types of concrete properties (compressive, flexural and splitting tensile strength) were adopted to achieve better understanding for the influence of adding metakaolin..      We report  the influence of different glycine-to-nitrate ratios on the physical and magnetic properties for synthesized zinc-ferrite by  microwave-assisted combustion route. Phase impurity and surface morphology investigated with XRD analysis and field emission- scanning electron microscopy, indicated that  spinel structure  were  formed.Average particles size increased  with the decrease of glycine to nitrate ratio. Magnetic measurement  results indicated that  high values of saturation magnetization  were produced with low  glycine/nitrate ratio.
