The DEM (Digital elevation model) means that the topography of the earth's surface (such as; Terrain relief and ocean floors), can be described mathematically by elevations as functions of three positions either in geographical coordinates, (Lat. Long. System) or in rectangular coordinates systems (X, Y, Z). Therefore, a DEM is an array number that represents spatial distributions of terrain characteristics. In this paper, the contour lines with different interval of high-resolution digital elevation model (1m) for AL-khamisah, The Qar Government was obtained. The altitudes ranging is between 1 m – 8.5 m, so characterized by varying heights within a small spatial region because it represents in multiple spots with flat surfaces.

In this study, genetic algorithm was used to predict the reaction kinetics of Iraqi heavy naphtha catalytic reforming process located in Al-Doura refinery in Baghdad.  One-dimensional steady state model was derived to describe commercial catalytic reforming unit consisting of four catalytic reforming reactors in series process.

Under cyclic loading, aluminum alloys exhibit less fatigue life than steel alloys of similar strength and this is considered as Achilles's heel of such alloys. A nanosecond fiber laser was used to apply high speed laser shock peening process on thin aluminum plates in order to enhance the fatigue life by introducing compressive residual stresses. Um-Al-Naaj region in Al-Hawiezah Marsh, Southern Iraq was chosen to study the environmental variations of some water characteristics during 2008, seasonally. The results showed clear seasonal changes in values of some environmental variables (temperature, depth, light penetration, turbidity, total suspended solids, pH, dissolved oxygen, reactive phosphate, reactive nitrite, and reactive nitrate), while there were no clear seasonal changes in electrical conductivity and salinity values.
