The goal of this paper is to study dynamic behavior of a sporadic model (prey-predator). All fixed points of the model are found. We set the conditions that required to investigate the local stability of all fixed points. The model is extended to an optimal control model. The Pontryagin's maximum principle is used to achieve the optimal solutions. Finally, numerical simulations have been applied to confirm the theoretical results.

This research dedicated to make an investigation for the variation of electron density concentration of D- region(NmD), at a characteristic height of 81 km throughout solar cycle 23, with solar activity(represented by sunspot number indices: international sunspot number(Ri), Northern hemisphere sunspot number(Rn) and Southern hemisphere sunspot number(Rs), as well as, the correlation between these indices for Baghdad city(lat.: 33.3o N, long.: 44.4o E) at local noon time during the ascending and the descending phases of solar cycle 23. The last decade of this 20th century provides a wide spread of applications of one of the computer techniques, which is called Fuzzy Logic. This technique depends mainly on the fuzzy set theory, which is considered as a general domain with respect to the conventional set theory. This paper presents in initiative the fuzzy sets theory and fuzzy logic as a complete mathematics system. Here it was explained the concept of fuzzy set and defined the operations of fuzzy logic. It contains eleven operations beside the other operations which related to fuzzy algebra. Such search is considered as an enhancement for supporting the others waiting search activities in this field.

Background: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a common disease and it accounts for over 10% of all hospital medical admission. Cigarette smoking is the most important risk factor. Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PHT) is a common complication of COPD and the increase in pulmonary artery pressure is often mild to moderate. The presence of pulmonary arterial pressure and its severity is readily and reliably determined by transthoracic echocardiography in majority of COPD patients.
