        In the present study, we have reported investigations on the effect of simultaneous substitution of Tl at the Hg site in the oxygen deficient HgOδ layer of Hg1-xTlxBa2Ca2Cu3O8+ δ cuprate superconductor. Bulk polycrystalline samples were prepared by the two-step solid state reaction process. It was observed that the grown Hg1-xTlxBa2Ca2Cu3O8+ δ corresponds to the 1223 phase. Electrical resistivity, using four probe technique, is used to find the transition temperature Tc. The highest Tc(0ffset) were 108, 102,113, 118, 125 and 121K for Hg1xTlxBa2Ca2Cu3O8+ δ with x = 0.0, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20 and 0.25 respectively.   The present study is a contribution to determine the effect of bark water extracts of the common trees of Eucalyptus camaldulensis to control the snail intermediate host (Bulinus truncatus) of urinary Schistosomiasis in Iraq. It was found that the lethal concentrations of bark phytochemicals to this snail were ranging from 10gm/l to 50gm/l.The effect of bark extracts was very remarkable during the first 24 hours.

    The environmental contamination by the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and heavy metals (Pb, Cu, Ni, Cr, and Cd) concentrations in the leaves of plant Eucalyptus camaldulensis were determined at the city of Kirkuk in 15 selected locations using GPS. The pickings up of samples were carried out in two periods October 2010 and March 2011. Compared with results of other studies, the concentration levels of determined heavy metals show values within these studies results. The average total concentration of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in the leaves of Plant Eucalyptus camaldulensis indicated 37.1 ppb in October, while in March 165.2 ppb.

Diatoms are considered a potentially new and valuable source of biologically active compounds including those with antimicrobial properties; so, this study was conducted to evaluate the antibacterial activity of Navicula incerta. The diatom was isolated from the salt water of Sawa Lake, southern of Iraq, it was cultivated in salt water then was adapted and cultivated in freshwater environment; the harvested and dried biomass was extracted, and the antibacterial activity of each extract was evaluated against several species of pathogenic bacteria.
