تعرف الجريمة الاقتصادية بأنها (كل عمل أو امتناع يقع مخالفا للقانون الاقتصادي إذا نص على تجريم ذلك العمل او الامتناع، حيث يدخل في القانون الاقتصادي كل نص ينظم انتاج أو توزيع أو استهلاك السلع والخدمات).

كما تعرف الجريمة الاقتصادية بأنها (مخالفة القوانين واللوائح المعمول بها في بلد ما والمقصود منها حماية الاقتصاد القومي بأوسع معانيه أو اي عمل او امتناع عنه يؤثر بدوره في كيان البلد الاقتصادي.

The research problem stems from the widespread manipulation of earning in economic entities, especially at the local level, exacerbated by the high financial and administrative corruption rates in Iraq due to fraudulent accounting practices. Foreign direct investment (FDI) has been viewed as a power affecting economic growth (EG) directly and indirectly during the past few decades. This paper reviewed an amount of researches examining the relationships between FDI and EG, especially the effects of FDI on EG, from 1994 up to 2012.
