Using Public and Private Cloud Computing in developing the Evaluation System of annual employees' performance at Iraqi Universities: A comparative study
...Show More Authors

Abstract

Business organizations are using the technological innovations like cloud computing (CC) as a developmental platform in order to improve the performance of their information systems. In that context, our paper discusses know-how in employing the public and private CC to serve as platforms to develop the evaluation system of annual employees' performance (ESAEP) at Iraqi universities. Therefore, we ask the paper question which is “Is it possible to adopt the innovative solutions of ICTs (Like: public and private CC) for finding the developmental vision about management information systems at business organizations?”. In addition, the paper aims to provide a sophisticated model that depends on these solutions for improving the performance of ESAEP at Iraqi universities. We used the case study approach to read the reality of the environment of old ESAEP and determining its development requirements in the light of using CC. In addition, we used the comparative approach to determine the achieved feasibility of the target development process. The tools that used in this paper includes Hardware (like: servers and laptops), Software (like: Share Point Ser. 2013), Applications (like: Google Sheets) and the Communication Technologies, as well as we used the PERT method in conducting a comparison between the old system and the proposal new system. The paper has reached several conclusions and suggestions, the most important of which: The existing ESAEP in Iraqi universities is not effective system, because of its non-reliance on Information and Communication Technologies in an integrated manner, thus was born a problem of the duplication of handwork and Semi-electronic work. By using the public and private CC, the developer new system enables to reduce the required working hours for the completion of evaluation activities in the old system at a rate of (158.88%), due to the proposed new system's ability to solve the previous problem and therefore its adoption only on the electronic work. We urged the Iraqi universities to implement one of the proposed developmental models (using public or private CC) in the light of the desired features of each model as well as the implementation requirements. Furthermore, it is necessary to update and develop the computer and Internet centres at Iraqi universities in terms of achievement new tasks and responsibilities.

Applications of Interior Space Design According to Shape Generation Systems: عبد الكريم علي حسين
...Show More Authors

Treatises concerning analyzing the interior spaces multiplied and their directions varied, that some of them analyzed the interior space on the basis of the intellectual and philosophical affiliation or the historical period and others in the light of the concept and mechanisms of the shape. The researcher has not been able to find a research that dealt with analyzing the space within the systems of shape generation, thus it is possible to determine the research problem with the following question: to what extent is it possible to analyze the interior space based on systems of shape generation? As far as the importance of the research is concerned, it sheds light on five of the systems of the shape generation which are: Syntax, shape gra

Potential Influence of Parasitic Diseases as Protective Agents from Infection with Pandemic COVID-19
...Show More Authors

Parasitic diseases can affect infection with COVID-19 obviously, as protective agents, or by reducing severity of this viral infection. This current review mentions the common symptoms between human parasites and symptoms of COVID-19, and explains the mechanism actions of parasites, which may prevent or reduce severity of this viral infection. Pre-existing parasitic infections provide prohibition against pathogenicity of COVID-19, by altering the balance of gut microbiota that can vary the immune response to this virus infection.

Effect of Very Early Atorvastatin Initiation for Acute Myocardial Infarction on Creatine Kinase release
...Show More Authors

Background : It has been suggested that pretreatment with a statin agent prior to
myocardial infarction limits myocardial
creatine kinase release, and thus may act to
limit myocardial infarct size in humans.
Objective : To examine the effect of very
early statin initiation for acute myocardial
infarction (AMI), to the extent of
myonecrosis as manifested by peak serum
creatine kinase levels.
Methods : Patients with AMI admitted to AlKindy teaching hospital cardiac care unit
from 1st February 2007 to 28th February
2008, who fulfilled the inclusion criteria
cited in the present study, were randomly
assigned into two study groups. The statin
group patients have received a single oral
dose of 40 mg

Bearing Capacity of Shallow Footing on Compacted Filling Dune Sand Over Reinforced Gypseous Soil
...Show More Authors

Existence of these soils, sometimes with high gypsum content, caused difficult problems to the buildings and strategic projects due to dissolution and leaching of gypsum by the action of waterflow through soil mass. In this research, a new technique is adopted to investigate the performance of replacement and geosynthetic reinforcement materials to improve the gypseous soil behavior through experimential set up manufactured loaclally specially for this work. A series of tests were carried out using steel container (600*600*500) mm. A square footing (100*100) mm was placed at the center of the top surface of the bed soil. The results showed that the most effective thickness for the dune sand layer with geotextile at the interface, within
