The study aimed to explore the effectiveness of using rational judgment strategy in teaching science to develop scientific thinking for second-grade students. The researcher utilized the quasi-experimental approach based on (the pre/post designing) of two groups: experimental and control. As for tools: a test of scientific thinking prepared by the researcher that proved its verification of their validity and reliability. The test applied on a random sample of (66) students, divided into two groups: (34) experimental, and (32) control.      In the present work effect of recycled heating and cooling on the values of concrete compressive strength due to high temperature of 400⁰C was studied.

    The tests show that the percent of reduction in compressive strength of the samples which exposed to a temperature of 400⁰C for one cycle was 32.5%, while the reduction was 52.7% for the samples which were exposed to recycled heating and cooling of ten times .

The main targets for using the edge detection techniques in image processing are to reduce the number of features and find the edge of image based-contents. In this paper, comparisons have been demonstrated between classical methods (Canny, Sobel, Roberts, and Prewitt) and Fuzzy Logic Technique to detect the edges of different samples of image's contents and patterns. These methods are tested to detect edges of images that are corrupted with different types of noise such as (Gaussian, and Salt and pepper).
