A Suggested Model for Using a Students Attendance Management Information Systems/ A Case Study In Lebanese French University/ Erbil
...Show More Authors

This study aims to design unified  electronic information system to manage students attendance in Lebanese French university/Erbil, as a system that simplifies the process of entering and counting the students absence, and generate absence reports to expel students who passed  the acceptable limit of being absent, and by that we can replace the traditional way of  using papers to count absence,  with  a complete electronically system for managing students attendance, in a way that makes the results accurate and unchangeable by the students.

In order to achieve the study's objectives, we designed an information system by using Visual Basic.net programming language, and connecting it with a Microsoft access database, and we chose Lebanese French university as a research scope.

The importance of the study lies in its shading the light on the importance of student's attendance management system and its contribution in organizing absence and attendance information in the university, in addition to clarifying the reasons of student's absence either its justified or unjustified, and generating the first and the final warning for the students who passed the acceptable limit.

The research problem lies in using the university an old fashioned way of registering absence of the students without having a complete system with a programmed databases and interface, in addition to  wasting of the time & the effort of the teacher.

The study was ended with a group of conclusions, the most  important one is that students attendance management  system represents a completed system that depends on a central database connected with all of the teachers, and this system generates reports daily, weekly, monthly, and depending on the conclusion the study ended with a set of recommendation including the necessity of removing  traditional methods of registering absence and depending completely on registering it electronically through the suggested system to minimize the time, effort, and having most accurate results of the generated reports.

Politeness: A Socio- Pragmatic Study
...Show More Authors

The most influential theory of ‘Politeness’ was formulated in 1978 and revised in 1987 by Brown and Levinson. ‘Politeness’, which represents the interlocutors’ desire to be pleasant to each other through a positive manner of addressing, was claimed to be a universal phenomenon. The gist of the theory is the intention to mitigate ‘Face’ threats carried by certain ‘Face’ threatening acts towards others.

‘Politeness Theory’ is based on the concept that interlocutors have ‘Face’ (i.e., self and public – image) which they consciously project, try to protect and to preserve. The theory holds that various politeness strategies are used to prot

Two scales of self-management and academic procrastination were used, prepared by the researcher. The counseling program was prepared by the researcher. The results showed the program's effectiveness in enhancing self-management and reducing academic procrastination in the posttest, as it showed the continuation of this enhancement in self-management and the increase in the reduction of procrastination in the follow-up

Compensation for Psychological Damage Caused by Negligence - A Comparative Study
...Show More Authors

Psychological damage is one of the damages that can be compensated under the fault of negligence in the framework of English law, where the latter intends to include an enumeration of civil errors on the basis of which liability can be determined, and aims under each of these errors to protect a specific interest (for example, defamation protects Among the damage to reputation and inconvenience are the rights contained on the land), and the same is true for the rest of the other errors. Compensation for psychological damage resulting from negligence has raised problems in cases where the psychological injury is "pure", that is, those that are not accompanied by a physical injury, which required subjecting them to special requirements by the

Exploring the Impact of Petrophysical Uncertainties on Recoverable Reserves: A Case Study
...Show More Authors

Reliable estimation of critical parameters such as hydrocarbon pore volume, water saturation, and recovery factor are essential for accurate reserve assessment. The inherent uncertainties associated with these parameters encompass a reasonable range of estimated recoverable volumes for single accumulations or projects. Incorporating this uncertainty range allows for a comprehensive understanding of potential outcomes and associated risks. In this study, we focus on the oil field located in the northern part of Iraq and employ a Monte Carlo based petrophysical uncertainty modeling approach. This method systematically considers various sources of error and utilizes effective interpretation techniques. Leveraging the current state of a
