This research includes synthesis of new 5-Nitro isatin derivatives starting from 5-nitro-3-(imino acetohydrazide)-2-oxo indole (1) namely 5-nitro-3-[iminoaceto(tetra hydropyridazin-3,6-dione)-2-yl]-2-oxo indole (2); 5-nitro-3-[iminoaceto(hexahydrodiazepine-3,7-dione)-2-yl]-2-oxo indole (3); 5-nitro-3-[iminoaceto (1,2-dihydro pyridiazin-3,6-dione)-2-yl]-2-oxo indole (4); 5-nitro-3-[iminoaceto (8-nitro- 1,2-dihydrophtalazin-3,10-dione)-2-yl]-2-oxo indole (5) and 5-nitro-3-[iminoaceto (1,2-dihydrophtalazin-3,10-dione)-2-yl]-2-oxo indole (6).     In this work, the spirurid nematode Hartertia gallinarum was reported in the intestine of the spotted sandgrouse, Pterocles senegallus, collected in three different locations: Ga'ara Depression, Iraqi Western Desert, Zurbatiyah and Al-Attariyah, Middle of Iraq. Description and measurements of the nematode were given. The role of termites in the infection of P. senegallus with H. gallinarum was discussed. Occurrence of H. gallinarum in P. senegallus represents a new host record.

A new Turbidimetric method characterized by simplicity, accuracy and speed for determination of Hydronium ion by continuous flow injection analysis. The method was based on the formation of complex Zn3[Fe(CN)6] for Zinc(II) that was eluted by Hydronium ion from cation exchanger column with Potassium hexacyanoferrate(III) for the formation of a pale yellow precipitate and this precipitate was determined using homemade Linear Array Ayah-5SX1-T-1D continuous flow injection analyser. The optimum parameters were 2.7 mL.min-1 flow rate using H2O as a carrier stream, 1.7 mL.min-1 reagent stream, 110 L sample volume and open valve for the purge of the sample segment.
