The effect of increasing the volume of debt on the volume of trading (applied research on a sample of private banks listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange)
...Show More Authors

This research worked on identifying the effect of increasing the volume of indebtedness by companies listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange on the trading volume of those companies, and this research included some theoretical concepts related to both debt financing and trading volume, and it represents the research community of the joint-stock companies listed in The Iraq Stock Exchange (the banking sector). As for the research sample, it was deliberately chosen represented by companies with continuous trading without stopping, which reached 10 joint-stock companies, and the period of research was extended during the period 2011-2015, and a set of indicators and financial methods were used In measuring research variables.

The research showed several results through which several conclusions were reached, including: (1) The existence of a strong correlation with significant moral significance between the increase in the proportion of debt size and the trading volume in the Iraqi Stock Exchange, which gives importance to controlling the size of the debt in increasing circulation of companies' shares in the market The Iraqi financial system At the end of the research, a number of recommendations were reached, including Proper planning for the borrowing process must be developed through a study and evaluation of the financial structure in order to determine the optimal ratios of debt that can be used to achieve a positive impact on the volume of trading. The Relationship of Noise Pollution to the Mental Health of Among University Students
...Show More Authors

The present study deals with the relationship of noise pollution to the mental health of university students, through the researcher field study with the use of descriptive Correlative approach to investigate this relationship. Noise is one of the elements of environmental pollution that people often expose to in their environment. The problem of noise has been exacerbated now because of cultural and technological progress in crowded cities. As a result, the researchers studied noise as an environmental stimulus that affects the mental health of the human being. The researchers, through their current research try to study a very serious problem, which is the problem of noise pollution on the health side of university students as a

Study the Feasibility of Alumina for the Adsorption of Metal Ions from Water
...Show More Authors

The present work describes the adsorption of Ba2+ and Mg2+ions from aqueous solutions by activated alumina in single and binary system using batch adsorption. The effect of different parameters such as amount of alumina, concentration of metal ions, pH of solution, contact time and agitation speed on the adsorption process was studied. The optimum adsorbent dosage was found to be 0.5 g and 1.5 g for removal of Ba2+ and Mg2+, respectively. The optimum pH, contact time and agitation speed, were found to be pH 6, 2h and 300 rpm, respectively, for removal of both metal ions. The equilibrium data were analyzed by Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models and the data fitted well to both isotherm modes as indicated by higher correlation of deter

The use of Mixed Bacterial Culture to improve the Biodegradation of Diesel Pollution
...Show More Authors

This study was conducted to evaluate the hydrocarbon biodegradation abilities of Enterobacter cloacae, Staphylococcus aureus, Sphingomonas paucimobilis, and Pentoae species which were isolated from different diesel-contaminated soil samples. The isolates were identified by the Vitek 2 system. Fourier-transform spectroscopy (FT-IR) tested the potential of these isolates to biodegrade the diesel according to the peak areas, a significant decrease in the area of the peaks at 2856-2928 cm−1 corresponds to aliphatic hydrocarbons. The appearance of small peaks at 900-1032 cm−1 refers to substituted benzene derivative compounds. An appearance of some new peaks at 3010- 3030 cm−1 which indicate the presence of alcohol (-OH) and ketones (RC=O)

The value of computerized tomography of the chest in patients with neutropenic fever
...Show More Authors

Background: Absolute neutropenia in hematological malignancies remains the single most important risk factor for infection, which can be fatal and requires urgent management including radiological procedures and treatment.
Objectives: To compare computerized tomography (CT) of the chest with chest radiology (CXR) in the assessment of febrile neutropenic patients with hematologic malignancy.
Patients and methods: A prospective study, carried out in the hematological ward, Baghdad teaching hospital, for the period from 1stApril 2011to 30thApril 2012.It included 46 neutropenic febrile patients .All had chest X-ray (CXR) and computerized tomography (CT) of the chest.
Results: Male were 21, and female were 25

The Comparison Between Standard Bayes Estimators of the Reliability Function of Exponential Distribution
...Show More Authors

In this paper, a Monte Carlo Simulation technique is used to compare the performance of the standard Bayes estimators of the reliability function of the one parameter exponential distribution .Three types of loss functions are adopted, namely, squared error  loss function (SELF) ,Precautionary error loss function (PELF) andlinear exponential error  loss function(LINEX) with informative and non- informative prior .The criterion integrated mean square error (IMSE) is employed to assess the performance of such estimators

Determination of Polymorphism Location of the Calcareous Corpuscles in the Tapeworm Bothriocephalus acheilognathi
...Show More Authors

This research includes the histochemical study of the cestode, Bothriocephalus acheilognathi in order to determine location and concentration of the polymorphism of the calcareous corpuscles in different tissues and organs of  the above mentioned cestode. In general, it was noticed abundance polymorphism in calcareous corpuscles, which appeared in the shape of spread clusters, oval structures and floats in location in biological units such as longitudinal muscles, mesenchymal tissue and reproductive organs. The present research indicated various polymorphisms in calcareous corpuscles. Furthermore, the polymorphism in calcareous corpuscles indicates their importance as they ensure   survival and continuation of

The Chronic Effects of Salinity in the Biology of ?? Rotifers Brachionus calyciflorus Pallas
...Show More Authors

The present study included the effect of chronic exposure for two concentrations of NaC? salt on the biology of fresh water zooplankton species Brachionus calyciflorus (from ^otifera). The concentrations 0.5 , 0.75%o were used for chronic exposure to investigate its effects on the life tables, range of the rate of expectation for further life and reproduction. The rotifer B. calyciflorus was sensitive to salinity and may tried to protect the species by increasing the size (2.22 ind./clutch lor control group and 2.9? for 0.5%o concentration) and number of clutches produced ?.1? clutch/female for control group and 2.9 ' ' ' for 0.75 %0 concentration) beside stimulation the animal to produce the first clutch of eggs earlier? ? small reduction

Geographical Distribution of Landfills in the Outskirts of Baghdad Governorate using the GIS
...Show More Authors

The problem of solid waste from domestic, industrial, commercial and medical sources is one of the most important problems facing the local administration in all Iraqi cities. The danger of this problem increases with the rapid increase in the population, changing lifestyles, consumption patterns, limited land suitable for landfill, and high costs of collection and disposal. This research aims to solve these problems by determining the locations of current landfills located in the outskirts of Baghdad Governorate. The ArcGIS program was used, where the sites of the landfills were determined on the map and through the available data about the areas. it was concluded that the existing landfill sites do not meet environmental conditions and
