Evaluation suppliers according to the integration of the Quality Function Deployment and the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process
...Show More Authors

The process of evaluating business processes, complex, repetition of procurement processes, need for raw materials and frequency of demand, which makes dealing with suppliers in the evaluation process, making the need for a process intervention in the process. Lighter on the other hand.

Many Iraqi companies suffer from problems related to suppliers, and cases of administrative and financial corruption are often raised regarding this type of contract and from this reality the necessity of researching this problem and trying to develop some solutions to reduce its impact on the companies' work, by using a method that works according to the standards adopted in Evaluation and selection of the supplier in the company.

Based on the foregoing, this research came to provide decision-makers with a computerized scientific tool that reduces the effort, time and money that they cause as a result of poor selection and what may follow in terms of delay in production, defects in the product and loss of the company's reputation, and this research aims to provide a vision regarding the latest standards followed in choosing the best supplier Demonstrate how to apply the integration model between the Quality function deployment and fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP - QFD) with the application of Microsoft Excel.

This research was applied in the "Arab Company for Antibiotics Industries (ACAI)", and the sample of the research was represented in two groups of the suppliers: the first is specialized in primary and second is specialized in materials, as well as in packaging materials. The research used a scientific method - a “case study” - to apply the research in this company. The data was collected by relying on a special examination list of a two-way comparison as well as using the QFD method to choose how important the criteria are, as well as the use of the FAHP process to determine the importance of the (weights) in QFD. As for the use of the misty principle, it can more accurately reflect the requirements of the company and provide a decision tool that would facilitate the selection of the supplier, and then the integration is applied between the tool of Quality function deployment (QFD) and fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) to evaluate and select the best supplier.

The researcher also suggested several recommendations including the necessity of adopting a multi-criteria scientific method in the process of selecting the supplier. The research also recommends establishing long-term relationships with the chosen suppliers and the company should promote and advertise its products in the private sector

Stethoscope as potential occupational hazards for intra hospital carries of pathogenic microorganisms
...Show More Authors

Background: The stethoscope is a tool that doctors use daily in the examination of patients and  it  can take part in the transmission of health care-associated infections. In a single day it may come in direct contact with multiple patients and the intra hospital environment  may be contaminated by various type of bacteria and possibly transmit to others.

Objective:- The study was to know the attitude and knowledge about   the stethoscope hygiene behavior among physicians  and to determine the types of  bacterial agents that can contaminate stethoscopes.

Type of the study: The study was a cross-sectional study

Estimation of Minimum Miscibility Pressure for Hydrocarbon Gas Injection Based on EOS
...Show More Authors

The important parameter used for determining the probable application of miscible displacement is the MMP (minimum miscibility pressure). In enhanced oil recovery, the injection of hydrocarbon gases can be a highly efficient method to improve the productivity of the well especially if miscibility developed through the displacement process. There are a lot of experiments for measuring the value of the miscibility pressure, but they are expensive and take a lot of time, so it's better to use the mathematical equations because of it inexpensive and fast. This study focused on calculating MMP required to inject hydrocarbon gases into two reservoirs namely Sadi and Tanomaa/ East Baghdad field. Modified Peng Robenson Equation of State was

Wideband sound absorption of a double-layer microperforated panel with inhomogeneous perforation
...Show More Authors

Micro-perforated panel (MPP) absorber is increasingly gaining popularity as an alternative sound absorber in buildings compared to the well-known synthetic porous materials. A single MPP has a typical feature of a Helmholtz resonator with a high amplitude of absorption but a narrow absorption frequency bandwidth. To improve the bandwidth, a single MPP can be cascaded with another single MPP to form a double-layer MPP. This paper proposes the introduction of inhomogeneous perforation in the double-layer MPP system (DL-iMPP) to enhance the absorption bandwidth of a double-layer MPP. Mathematical models are proposed using the equivalent electrical circuit model and are validated with experiments with good agreement. It is revealed that the DL-

Impact Behavior of Composite Reinforced Concrete Beams with Pultruded I-GFRP Beam
...Show More Authors

The present study experimentally and numerically investigated the impact behavior of composite reinforced concrete (RC) beams with the pultruded I-GFRP and I-steel beams. Eight specimens of two groups were cast in different configurations. The first group consisted of four specimens and was tested under static load to provide reference results for the second group. The four specimens in the second group were tested first under impact loading and then static loading to determine the residual static strengths of the impacted specimens. The test variables considered the type of encased I-section (steel and GFRP), presence of shear connectors, and drop height during impact tests. A mass of 42.5 kg was dropped on the top surface at the m

Pulsed laser deposition of nanostructured CeO2 antireflection coating for silicon solar cell
...Show More Authors

Increasing the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of silicon solar cells by improving their junction properties or minimizing light reflection losses remains a major challenge. Extensive studies were carried out in order to develop an effective antireflection coating for monocrystalline solar cells. Here we report on the preparation of a nanostructured cerium oxide thin film by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) as an antireflection coating for silicon solar cell. The structural, optical, and electrical properties of a cerium oxide nanostructure film are investigated as a function of the number of laser pulses. The X-ray diffraction results reveal that the deposited cerium oxide films are crystalline in nature and have a cubic fluorite. The field

Factors Affecting Labor Productivity on Construction in Kurdistan of Iraq: Web Survey
...Show More Authors

This study was set out to investigate factors affecting labor productivity on construction in the north of Iraq (Kurdistan) and to rank all the factors based on engineers, contractors, and designer’s opinions. 76 factors were analyzed based on previous literature and a pilot study. Next, by using online Google Form, a questionnaire form was created and sent to people who have experience in the construction industry. Afterward, the questionnaire form was sent to targeted people by email and social media apps. Factors were divided into nine groups “Management, Technical and Technology, Human and Workforce, Leadership, Motivation, Safety, Time, Material and Equipment, and External”. However, 202 respondents participated in this study,

Comparison of Seepage Trough Zoned Earth dam Using Improved Light-Textured Soils
...Show More Authors

Seepage through earth dams is one of the most popular causes for earth dam collapse due to internal granule movement and seepage transfer. In earthen dams, the core plays a vital function in decreasing seepage through the dam body and lowering the phreatic line. In this research, an alternative soil to the clay soil used in the dam core has been proposed by conducting multiple experiments to test the permeability of silty and sandy soil with different additives materials. Then the selected sandy soil model was used to represent the dam experimentally, employing a permeability device to measure the amount of water that seeps through the dam's body and to represent the seepage line. A numerical model was adopted using Geo-Studio software i

Balloon Valvoplasty of Severe Aortic Valve Stenosis Following Badly Planed Midline Thoracotomy
...Show More Authors

Aortic valve replacement (AVR) is the gold standard method for management of severe aortic stenosis (AS), with transcatheter balloon valvoplasty (BAV) increasingly used as palliative option for calcified valve in experienced hand. In the AVR era, BAV was not considered a long-term definitive treatment for severe calcific AS due to a high restenosis rate and short durability of gradient improvement. However, it continues to have an important role as a bridge-to-decision or bridge-to-intervention in cases where definitive therapy must be delayed due to clinical instability, imaging uncertainty or failed trial of surgical valve replacement. We report a case of heavily calcified AS in an adolescent female, in which the calcification in
