Any survey for the reality of the higher education in Iraq would show the defects that the education suffers from, especially those connected to the role of the college teacher.  Concerning teaching styles, they are still those common traditional ones, with clear negligence of the developed technological styles. As for the scientific research, it is very rare to find researches that deal with social problems. It is clear that there is an almost a total separation between universities and social organization.

Therefore, the current study aims at identifying the extent to which the teachers of the colleges are performing their role in the educational, scientific, and social services domains thoroughly.

In this study, gold nanoparticle samples were prepared by the chemical reduction method (seed-growth) with 4 ratios (10, 12, 15 and 18) ml of seed, and the growth was stationary at 40 ml. The optical and structural properties of these samples were studied. The 18 ml seed sample showed the highest absorbance. The X- ray diffraction (XRD) patterns of these samples showed clear peaks at (38.25^o, 44.5^o, 64.4^o, and 77.95^o). The UV-visible showed that the absorbance of all the samples was in the same range as the standard AuNPs. This study aims to identify both the importance of using (LinkedIn) and its drawbacks for researchers and specialists in the field of information and knowledge technologies. The study relied mainly on the statistical method (analytical method) from the collection of data tools (questionnaire) that was distributed electronically (Google Forms) to the sample community of (55) instructors. The feedback received illustrates that (46) instructors among those who participated in the questionnaire subscribed to (LinkedIn) and the rest did not.
