This research aims at studying each of the cold and hot thermal wavelengths affecting
Iraq for a minimum climatic course of 11 years beginning from 1992 till 2002. Three stations
were selected including the parts of Iraq surface: Mosul, Baghdad and Basrah.
The wave days were also connected with the related climatic elements represented by
the wind direction and speeds and the relative humidity. It was shown that Iraq is affected by
the rates of hot thermal wave lengths greatly compared to the rates of cold wavelengths. The
results suggested that the highest rate of hot and cold wavelengths recorded over Basra station
was (3.5) days for the cold and (5) days for the hot. While the lowest rates was at Mosul

Darcy-Weisbach (D-W) is a typical resistance equation in pressured flow; however, some academics and engineers prefer Hazen-Williams (H-W) for assessing water distribution networks. The main difference is that the (D-W) friction factor changes with the Reynolds number, while the (H-W) coefficient is a constant value for a certain material. This study uses WaterGEMS CONNECT Edition update 1 to find an empirical relation between the (H-W) and (H-W) equations for two 400 mm and 500 mm pipe systems.      In this contribution, new derivatives of bicyclic fused rings with bridgehead nitrogen of 3-substituted imidazo/pyrimidine derivatives A1-A3 were synthesized by reacting 2-aminobenzothiazol, acetyl acetone, and different substituted aldehydes in a one-pot reaction. These compounds A1-A3 were then condensed with 4-bromobenzaldehyde and 4-(N,N-dimethylamino)benzaldehyde to form new chalcone derivatives A4-A9. Ring closure of these compounds A4-A9 with urea and malononitrile afforded new oxopyrimidine derivatives A10-A15 and cyanopyridine derivatives A16-A21, respectively.
