Leuconostoc bacteria was isolated from local pickled cabbage (Brassica oleracea capitata) and identified as Leuconostoc mesenteroides by morphology,biochemical and physiological. The developed Iraqi Water Quality Index (IQWQI) includes physical and chemical components.
