Two statistical tools were applied: the nominal group technique, matrix data analysis technique as well as the brainstorming tool to search for the best option for the organization to improve the quality of its operations and the quality of its final product. To achieve the success factors of these sessions according to the literature, studies and sources that showed the ways of using this tool as well as the steps to apply the techniques of the nominal group, and analysis of the data matrix next to the theoretical, And to determine the criteria, determinants and advantages of these options by taking the arithmetic mean of the views of the research sample regarding this, then analyzing these data and filtering the best alternative and arranging the criteria using these tools. The results ensure ability of these tools for use in the research organization, also revealed the possibility of improving the quality of the operations and the final product in the Directorate of Water Baghdad governorate through the expansion of existing projects and increase production capacities as a precedence at the expense of the establishment of new projects, or the establishment of Small water units.

Abstract
This study aims to simulate and assess the hydraulic characteristics and residual chlorine in the water supply network of a selected area in Al-Najaf City using WaterGEMS software. Field and laboratory work were conducted to measure the pressure heads and velocities, and water was sampled from different sites in the network and then tested to estimate chlorine residual. Records and field measurements were utilized to validate WaterGEMS software. Good agreement was obtained between the observed and predicted values of pressure with RMSE range between 0.09–0.17 and 0.08–0.09 for chlorine residual. The results of the analysis of water distribution systems (WDS) during maximum demand
... Show More

Removal of Water Turbidity by using Aluminum Filings as a Filter Media
...Show More Authors

The ability of using aluminum filings which is locally solid waste was tested as a mono media in gravity rapid filter. The present study was conducted to evaluate the effect of variation of influent water turbidity (10, 20and 30 NTU); flow rate(30, 40, and 60 l/hr) and bed height (30and60)cm on the performance of aluminum filings filter media for 5 hours run time and compare it with the conventional sand filter. The results indicated that aluminum filings filter showed better performance than sand filter in the removal of turbidity and in the reduction of head loss. Results showed that the statistical model developed by the multiple linear regression was proved to be
valid, and it could be used to predict head loss in aluminum filings
