Abstract

Background and objective: Protective effect of (Andrographis Paniculata) on 4-Vinylcyclohexene Diepoxide.

Material and methods:A group of 55 female albino rats undergo experiment on the outcome effect of 4-vinylcyclohexene Diepoxide injection for a priod of two weeks, as well as treatment effect of methanolic leaf extract of Andrographis paniculata oral administration for four weeks. Injection  concentrations (160 and 320mg/kg. B.W) also two different doses of treatment (100 and 200mg/kg. B.W) have been applied.

Results:The results on body weight and ovary weight were more evident when higher concentration dose was applied.

The aim is to evaluate the effects of atorvastatin on proinflammatory markers (TNF-α, IL-6), HbA1c andleptin in obese patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods: Sixty fivenewly diagnosed T2DM patients were randomly allocated into 2 groups; group I treated with metformin only; in group II atorvastatin was added with metformin. In this study the Entrance Surface Dose (ESD) received by pediatrics patients undergoing chest, abdomen and skull X-ray examinations was estimated. The study was conducted in two hospitals in Najaf city where three radiographic systems were considered. The study participants were classified into four age groups 0-1 ,  1-5 ,  5-10  and  10-15  years. Calculations were performed using exposure factors, kVp, mAs and focal-skin distance, together with patient data age.
