Suitable Investment environment For business sector in Iraq
...Show More Authors

Investment Bases directly and closely to an environment characterized by political, social and economic stability, and through a range of policies and institutions and economic laws that affect investor confidence and convince him directing investments to country without the other, where inter conditions and circumstances affecting the trends of capital and settle in, and political situation of the country and what is characterized of stability or disorder as well as economic conditions that are affected by what is distinguishes the country from geographic and demographic characteristics are reflected on availability of production elements and country's infrastructure.

Investment is one of important sources of financing development, prompting world countries in different directions to quest for attracting it in different ways, despite the raised political and economic  contradictions are still controversial and bitter debate, even in the mother countries of the investing companies. Due to the importance of investing in Filling gap saving – investment.

Iraq is seeking to take advantage of world capital money movement for the advancement of the country's economy .The pursuit of this trend is clearly appeared after 2003 as Law No. (13) Of 2006, as amended. But the concern for investment environment for business remains weak and public sector is the dominant on economic activity.

Iraq has occupied, according to Doing Business in 2012 ranked 164 of the total 183 countries where the absence of private information on the work of the private sector, where  difficulties when all stages that hinder the practice of business.

Very‐high‐resolution electrical resistivity imaging of buried foundations of a Roman villa near Nonnweiler, Germany
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>Electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) methods have been increasingly used in various shallow depth archaeological prospections in the last few decades. These non‐invasive techniques can save time, costs, and efforts in archaeological prospection and yield detailed images of subsurface anomalies. We present the results of quasi‐three‐dimensional (3D) ERT measurements in an area of a presumed Roman construction, using a dense electrode network of parallel and orthogonal profiles in dipole–dipole configuration. A roll‐along technique has been utilized to cover a large part of the archaeological site with a 25 cm electrode and profile spacing, respectively. We have designed a new field proce</p> ... Effect of Lithium Salts on the Optical Properties of Poly Acrylonitrile/Poly Methyl Methacrylate Blends

PAN/PMMA) with different blend ratios (80/20, 75/25,70/30,65/35, and 60/40) wt% undoped and doped with various lithium (Li) salts (LiCO3, Li2SO4H2O, and LiCl) at 20 wt %. Different techniques were employed to investigate the composition and optical properties of the prepared blend samples undoped and doped with Lithium salts like FT-IR and UV-Visible spectroscopies. The optical properties analysis declared that the energy gap increased from (4.0 eV to 4.20 eV) by increasing of PMMA ratio from 20 to 40 wt %. In contrast, the energy gap reduced and shifted toward the low energy side by adding lithium salts; the minimum energy gap value was 2 eV obtained from 65 % PAN and 35 % PMMA doped with Li2CO3. The optical constants were determ

Reliability and Failure Probability Functions of the m-Consecutive-k-out-of-n: F Linear and Circular Systems
...Show More Authors

The m-consecutive-k-out-of-n: F linear and circular system consists of n sequentially connected components; the components are ordered on a line or a circle; it fails if there are at least m non-overlapping runs of consecutive-k failed components. This paper proposes the reliability and failure probability functions for both linearly and circularly m-consecutive-k-out-of-n: F systems. More precisely, the failure states of the system components are separated into two collections (the working and the failure collections); where each one is defined as a collection of finite mutual disjoint classes of the system states. Illustrative example is provided.

Experimental and numerical investigation on the behavior of reinforced reactive powder concrete two-way slabs under static load
...Show More Authors

This paper studied the behaviour of reinforced reactive powder concrete (RPC) two-way slabs under static load. The experimental program included testing three simply supported slabs of 1000 mm length, 1000 mm width, and 70 mm thickness. Tested specimens were of identical properties except their steel fibers volume ratio (0.5 %, 1 %, and 1.5 %). Static test results revealed that, increasing steel fibers volume ratio from 0.5% to 1% and from 1% to 1.5%, led to an increase in: first crack load by (32.2 % and 52.3 %), ultimate load by (36.1 % and 17.0 %), ultimate deflection by (33.6 % and 3.4 %), absorbed energy by (128 % and 20.2 %), and the ultimate strain by (1.1 % and 6.73 %). The stiffness and ductility of the specimens also increased. A

The Purpose of this Research show gap between a Normal Cost System and Resource consumption Accounting Applied in AL-Rafidin Bank.

The Research explores that, how the idle capacity can be determined under resource consumption accounting, discuss the possibility of employing these energies. Research also viewed how costs can be separated into Committee and Attribute. Resource Consumption Accounting assists managers in pricing services or products based on what these services or products use from each Source.

ANALYSIS OF THE HYDRAULIC CHARACTERISTICS OF AL MAHAWIL STREAM USING HECRAS: A FIELD STUDY
...Show More Authors

A water resources management for earthen canal/stream is introduced through creating a combination procedure between a field study and the scientific analytical concepts that distinguish the hydraulic problems on this type of stream with using the facilities that are available in HECRAS software; aiming to point the solutions of these problems. Al Mahawil stream is an earthen canal which is subjected to periodic changes in cross sections due to scour, deposition, and incorrect periodic dredging processes due to growth of the Ceratophyllum plants and weeds on the bed and banks of the stream; which affect the characteristics of the flow. This research aims to present a strategy of water resources management through a field study that conducte

Optimal Dimensions of Small Hydraulic Structure Cutoffs Using Coupled Genetic Algorithm and ANN Model
...Show More Authors

A genetic algorithm model coupled with artificial neural network model was developed to find the optimal values of upstream, downstream cutoff lengths, length of floor and length of downstream protection required for a hydraulic structure. These were obtained for a given maximum difference head, depth of impervious layer and degree of anisotropy. The objective function to be minimized was the cost function with relative cost coefficients for the different dimensions obtained. Constraints used were those that satisfy a factor of safety of 2 against uplift pressure failure and 3 against piping failure.
Different cases reaching 1200 were modeled and analyzed using geo-studio modeling, with different values of input variables. The soil wa
