In this paper, the generalized inverted exponential distribution is considered as one of the most important distributions in studying failure times. A shape and scale parameters of the distribution have been estimated after removing the fuzziness that characterizes its data because they are triangular fuzzy numbers. To convert the fuzzy data to crisp data the researcher has used the centroid method. Hence the studied distribution has two parameters which show a difficulty in separating and estimating them directly of the MLE method. The Newton-Raphson method has been used.

The performance of a condenser in a domestic refrigerator system without wires and a condenser with a novel design consisted of number of loops as elliptical shape is investigated experimentally in this work. The experiment was conducted with a refrigerator designed to work with HFC134a, under no load and with loads of (1.5,3 and 12 liters of water). In particular, the effects of shape change of the condenser were very important in heat transfer enhancement and reduce of the frictional loss as a result of reducing the pressure drop in the condenser. The research Compared two methods for estimating fourparametersof the compound exponential Weibull - Poisson distribution which are the maximum likelihood method and the Downhill Simplex algorithm. Depending on two data cases, the first one assumed the original data (Non-polluting), while the second one assumeddata contamination. Simulation experimentswere conducted for different sample sizes and initial values of parameters and under different levels of contamination. Downhill Simplex algorithm was found to be the best method for in the estimation of the parameters, the probability function and the reliability function of the compound distribution in cases of natural and contaminateddata.
