In this work, novel copolymers of poly(adipic anhydride-co-mannitol) were synthesized by melting condensation polymerization of poly(adipic anhydride) with five percentages of mannitol sugar, 1 to 5 Wt.%. Mixed phase rutile/anatase of TiO2 was prepared and studied by a closed field DC magnetron sputtering configuration (CFDCMS). It was found that the contents of rutile increased from the ratio of 38% to 53% as the deposition time increased from 3.5 hours to 4.5 hours.
The photocatalytic activity of the mixed phase rutile/anatase TiO2 was measured by monitoring the degradation of the blue methylene dye in an aqueous solution, under exposure to UV-radiation, using UV-vis absorption spectroscopy. Cr2O3 thin films have been prepared by spray pyrolysis on a glass substrate. Absorbance and transmittance spectra were recorded in the wavelength range (300-900) nm before and after annealing. The effects of annealing temperature on absorption coefficient, refractive index, extinction coefficient, real and imaginary parts of dielectric constant and optical conductivity were expected. It was found that all these parameters increase as the annealing temperature increased to 550°C.

In this work Laser wireless video communication system using intensity modualtion direct
detection IM/DD over a 1 km range between transmitter and receiver is experimentally investigated and
demonstrated. Beam expander and beam collimeter were implemented to collimete laser beam at the
transmitter and focus this beam at the receiver respectively. The results show that IM/DD communication
sysatem using laser diode is quite attractive for transmitting video signal. In this work signal to noise
ratio (S/N) higher than 20 dB is achieved in this work.
