The Use of Remote Sensing and GIS in Studying the Dynamics of Irrigated Space in Guercif Plain (Morocco)

The use of remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS) are among the most efficient modern tools to study the varied natural resources in terms of localization, identification of characteristics, and the study of its dynamics. Thus, the aim of this study is to show the importance of remote sensing and Geographical Information System in studying the Guercif irrigated plain.  We will first process and analyze satellite images using the program (Erdas IMAGINE 15. 00) and then create thematic maps illustrating the irrigated area's evolution (ArcGIS 10.8). The results revealed that since the late 20th century, the area of Guercif Plain has expanded significantly, with the total irrigated space that has been doubled many

THE ROLE OF SPECIFIC AMINO ACIDS IN THE PROTECTION OF E. COLI AGAINST B-LACTAM ANTIBIOTICS IN VITRO

The role of specific amino acids namely cysteine, methionine, threonine and asparagine in the protection provided by vamin solution against B-lactam inhibition to E. coli was evaluated in vitro In minimal medium, cells were treated with 32 ug/ml of penicillin G, carbenciLlin, hostacillin, cloxacillin and cephalotin in the presence of specific amino acid supplementation. Deletion of specific amino acids from the media abolished the protection provided by vamin. Threonine was essential for the protection of cells against all tested antibiotics, while cysteine was essential for protection against carbencillin and sephalotin. Deletion of methionine or asparagine abolished the protection against carbencillin and to a less extent cephalotin.

Captopril versus enalapril in the protection of the gastric mucosa against NSAID induced gastric mucosal injury in rats

Background: Different mechanisms have been suggested for the development of nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) induced gastropathy. Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors have been suggested to have gastroprotective effects. This study investigates the gastroprotective effects of Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors, captopril and enalapril on indomethacin induced gastric mucosal damage in rats .
Materials and methods: The study was conducted on 50 adult male albino rats, divided into 5 groups, the first served as a control received the vehicle , the second received indomethacin orally of 60mg/kg. The third and fourth groups were pretreated orally 30 minute prior indomethacin with either&n
