The current study was designed to evaluate the anti-inflammatory effect of GKB in the rat model of granulomatous inflammation. Production of  the steroidal saponin digitonin  in multiplied shoots of Digitalis purpurea , (var. Excelsior Mixed) has been achieved in vitro by two experiments.
