The Impact of Putinism on the Russian-Ukrainian Conflict: an analysis of the contents of the speeches of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the causes of the Russian war on Ukraine in 2022
...Show More Authors

this research seeks to shed light on the study of the impact of Putinism on the Russian-Ukrainian war that broke out in early 2022, by studying the contents of the speeches of Russian President Vladimir Putin before the start of the war. This research uses the structural approach in analyzing the components of the Russian political regime. The research tools used in this research include case studies, content analysis of Russian speeches, and personal meetings of researchers and specialists in Russian affairs. It sums up a number of important conclusions, most notably are : 1) Putinism is a totalitarian regime that includes the political doctrine during the era of Russian President Vladimir Putin. 2) Duginism represents the totality of the beliefs of the Russian thinker Alexander Dugin, including the Fourth political theory and Eurasianism, was part of the Putinism and not vice versa. 3) Putinism plays a major role in the outbreak of the Russian war on Ukraine at the ideological level and political decision-making within the Russian elite. 4) Putinism is developed in three Main stages: the first stage includes arranging the Russian house from the inside, while the second stage is balance, and international partnership, whereas the third stage is the quest to end unipolarity and establish a multipolar world through the preemptive strike represented by the Russian war on Ukraine in February 2022. A stage is still in the process of formation

Selected salivary constituents, physical properties and nutritional status in relation to dental caries among 4-5 year’s old children (Comparative study)
...Show More Authors

Background: Tooth decay is still one of most common diseases of childhood, child’s primary teeth are important even though they aretemporary. This study was conducted to assess the physiochemical characteristic of saliva among caries experience preschool children and compared them with caries free matching in age and gender. Then an evaluation was done about these salivary characteristics to dental caries and evaluated the relation of body mass index to dental caries and to salivary variables. Materials and method: After examination 360 children aged 4-5 years of both gender. Caries-experiences was recorded according to dmfs index by (World Health Organization criteria 1987) during pilot study children with caries experience was di

This study was aimed to examined effect of Januvia treatment on methionine synthases Meth and cystathionine B- synthase (CBS) in Iraqi patients type2 without treated and another group who taken Januvia treated in addition to diabetic patients with complication without treated with Januvia Also, to found the relationship between these parameters with BMI, FBS, HbA1C and Insulin levels. Firstly, the blood sampling date for this research between December and February 2019 - 2020. Blood sampling was withdrawn from 8:00 to 10:00 in the case of fasting of all substances . five milliliters of venous blood were collected by means of an antecubital venipuncture divided into two parts, one of which (2ml) was put in a tube containing anticoagulant fac

Mechanical Rock Properties Estimation for Carbonate Reservoir Using Laboratory Measurement: A Case Study from Jeribe, Khasib and Mishrif Formations in Fauqi Oil Field
...Show More Authors

Estimation of mechanical and physical rock properties is an essential issue in applications related to reservoir geomechanics. Carbonate rocks have complex depositional environments and digenetic processes which alter the rock mechanical properties to varying degrees even at a small distance. This study has been conducted on seventeen core plug samples that have been taken from different formations of carbonate reservoirs in the Fauqi oil field (Jeribe, Khasib, and Mishrif formations). While the rock mechanical and petrophysical properties have been measured in the laboratory including the unconfined compressive strength, Young's modulus, bulk density, porosity, compressional and shear -waves, well logs have been used to do a compar

Development a Statistical Relationship between Compressional Wave Velocity and Petrophysical Properties from Logs Data for JERIBE Formation ASMARI Reservoir in FAUQI Oil Field
...Show More Authors

The Compressional-wave (Vp) data are useful for reservoir exploration, drilling operations, stimulation, hydraulic fracturing employment, and development plans for a specific reservoir. Due to the different nature and behavior of the influencing parameters, more complex nonlinearity exists for Vp modeling purposes. In this study, a statistical relationship between compressional wave velocity and petrophysical parameters was developed from wireline log data for Jeribe formation in Fauqi oil field south Est Iraq, which is studied using single and multiple linear regressions. The model concentrated on predicting compressional wave velocity from petrophysical parameters and any pair of shear waves velocity, porosity, density, and

Association between anti-erythropoietin antibody levels and treatment response in hemodialysis patients with end-stage renal disease: A cross-sectional study from Iraq
...Show More Authors

Introduction: The therapeutic efficacy of erythropoietin (EPO) may be diminished by the formation of anti-erythropoietin antibodies (AEAs), potentially resulting in therapy failure. Objectives: This retrospective study included 84 hemodialysis patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) treated with recombinant EPO and aimed to evaluate the association between serum AEA and treatment response. Patients and Methods: This cross-sectional study included eighty-four Iraqi patients with ESRD who had been on recombinant human EPO for more than 6 months and had hemoglobin levels below 11 g/dL. Serum AEA levels were measured in all patients to evaluate their association with treatment response and to investigate correlations with demograph

Carboxylesterase 2 prevents liver steatosis by modulating lipolysis, endoplasmic reticulum stress, and lipogenesis and is regulated by hepatocyte nuclear factor 4 alpha in mice
...Show More Authors

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a common liver disease that ranges from simple steatosis to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). So far, the underlying mechanism remains poorly understood. Here, we show that hepatic carboxylesterase 2 (CES2) is markedly reduced in NASH patients, diabetic db/db mice, and high‐fat diet (HFD)‐fed mice. Restoration of hepatic CES2 expression in db/db or HFD‐fed mice markedly ameliorates liver steatosis and insulin resistance. In contrast, knockdown of hepatic CES2 causes liver steatosis and damage in chow‐ or Western diet‐fe
