News feeds are at the forefront of news forms that are close to the public's attention for their rapid news content in two directions:

1. its speed in summarizing events in one or two sentences easy to be understood and realized.
2. highlight the most important contents of screenings or news broadcast.

This study is an attempt to investigate the conceptual metaphor of UP and DOWN commonly used in Iraqi community. Some of the metaphorical expressions in Iraqi colloquial Arabicarewidely used by Iraqi speakers in everyday language. Phonological metathesis can be defined as an alternation in the normal sequence of two sounds under certain conditions. The present paper is intended to give a detailed synchronic description of phonological metathesis in Iraqi Arabic dialect. For data collection, the researchers have adopted two naturalistic techniques, viz., observation and notes taking.
