Carbonate-clastic succession which includes the Shu'aiba, Nahr Umr and Mauddud formations are representing a part of the Barremian-Aptian Sequence (Wasi'a Group). This field represents a subsurface anticline with a northwest to southeast direction axis within the Mesopotamian Zone.
