The Neo-Conservative and call for the dominance of US military power globally
...Show More Authors

Abstrct

The administrations of Presidents Clinton and Bush Jr. have seen the emergence of neoconservatives. The neoconservative were the establishment of the Project for the New American Century (PNAC) project in 1997 during the Clinton administration. The neoconservatives, through the New Century Project, were able to make important foreign policy decisions, notably the Iraq Liberation Law, which was passed by Congress on January 26, 1998 and signed by President Clinton and became a law legitimized. Clinton became authorized to take whatever measures he saw fit to contribute to regime change in Iraq. The Bush administration has also undergone major and significant shifts in US strategy on US foreign policy. During the Bush administration, America saw unprecedented advances in neo-conservatives in the US administration, especially after September 11, 2001when the neoconservatives gained many important and sensitive positions in the administration after George W. Bush won the 2000 presidential election. Members of the Bush administration's new American Century project have held leadership positions for various periods, becoming more numerous and more influential on US foreign policy and "hijacked" US foreign policy during the Bush administration by taking control of important and multiple positions within the administration. The neo-conservatives played a major role in achieving these transformations in American foreign policy. They established many of the intellectual foundations of American policy in the post-September 2001 period, which contributed to the War on Terror decision on September 12, 2001 one day after the events of September 11, 2001, which President Bush adopted in his foreign policy. After the resolution was passed, the goal of achieving US national security expanded significantly and widely during the Bush administration. That law gave President Bush the authority to use military force in accordance with his interpretation of the concept of the dangers at anytime and anywhere, both at home and abroad. President Bush's military powers were strengthened again after the US National Security Act of September 17, 2002, which led to the creation of a new National American Strategy, which represented a major change in the US defense strategy. That strategy gave President Bush greater military powers than before to use military force at any time or place of his choice on the grounds of existing or potential threats to US national security. The new strategy led to the birth of Bush Doctrine based on preemptive strike and absolute US military control abroad. The neo-conservatives' ideas and intellectual stances were the backbone of the new US national security policy during the Bush administration, which paved the way for building a broad ideological base that was the mainstay of Bush's doctrine of Bush Doctrine .A preemptive strike was born in the wake of these events in its war against what it calls terrorism and has become the core of American Foreign Policy during the Bush administration. Consequently, President Bush's policies have tended to adopt drastic military defenses policy by resorting to building a formidable military force and an overwhelming power to America.

Certain Assessment of Using MWCNT Nps in Drilling Fluid to Mitigate Stick-Slip Problem during Drilling Operation System
...Show More Authors

Stick- slip is the continuous stopping& release of the Bit/BHA due to the irregular down-hole rotation prompted by the existing relationship between the friction torque and the torque applied from the surface to free the bit.

Friction coefficient between BHA and wellbore is the main player of stick slip amount, which can be mitigated by support a good lubricators as additives in drilling mud.

Mathematical (or empirical) solves should be done through adjusting all parameters which supposed to reduce stick- slip as low as possible using different models, one of the main parameters is drilling mud. As per Nanoparticles drilling fluid is a new technology that offers high performance

Design of PV Solar Energy Generator using MPPT Technique to Control Single Input/Multiple Outputs (DC-DC) Converter
...Show More Authors

The paper presents the design of a system consisting of a solar panel with Single Input/Multiple Outputs (DC-DC) Buck Converter by using Simulink dialogue box tools in MATLAB software package for simulation the system. Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technique depending on Perturb and Observe (P&O) algorithm is used to control the output power of the converter and increase the efficiency of the system. The characteristics of the MSX-60 PV module is chosen in design of the system, whereas the electrical characteristics (P-V, I-V and P-I curves) for the module are achieved, that is affected by the solar radiation and temperature variations. The proposed design module has been found to be stable for any change in atmospheric tempera

Assessment of Thyroid Functions in Multiple Sclerosis Patients Treated with Disease Modifying Therapies: Thyroid Functions in Multiple Sclerosis
...Show More Authors

Background:

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic disease believed to be the result of autoimmune disorders of the central nervous system, characterised by inflammation, demyelination, and axonal transection, affecting primarily young adults. Disease modifying therapies have become widely used, and the rapid development of these drugs highlighted the need to update our knowledge on their short- and long-term safety profile.

Objective:

The study aim is to evaluate the impact of disease-modifying treatments on thyroid functions and thyroid autoantibodies with subsequent effects on the outcome of the disease.

Materials and Methods:

A retro prospective study

Objective: to identify the effect of the Instruction program on the knowledge of pregnant women who suffering anemia.

Methodology: A quasi-experimental design was carried out with the application of pre- post test for the study and the control group. Purposive sample, consists of (60) pregnant women diagnosed with anemia attending four health care centers in Baquba city.

Result: The findings indicate that the level of hemoglobin is increasing post instructional program among women in the study group, in which (46.7%) of women are reveal a level of (8.1-9) g/dl that is less than normal pre instructional program and the level is increased to normal level post instructional

Adherence to American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Surgical Antibiotic Prophylaxis Guideline in Medical City Teaching Hospitals/Baghdad
...Show More Authors

Surgical site infections are the second most common type of adverse events occurring in hospitalized patients. Surgical antibiotic prophylaxis refers to the use of preoperative and postoperative antibiotics to decrease the incidence of postoperative wound infections. The objective of this study was to evaluate the antibiotic administration pattern for surgical antibiotic prophylaxis and the adherence to American Society of Health-System Pharmacists surgical antibiotic prophylaxis guideline in Medical City Teaching Hospitals/Baghdad. The medical records of one hundred patients who underwent elective surgical procedures were reviewed. Adherence to the recommendations of American society of health‑system pharmacists guideline was ass

Analytical study on torsional behavior of concrete beams strengthened with fiber reinforced polymer laminates using softened truss model
...Show More Authors

This study aimed at evaluating the torsional capacity of reinforced concrete (RC) beams externally wrapped with fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) materials. An analytical model was described and used as a new computational procedure based on the softened truss model (STM) to predict the torsional behavior of RC beams strengthened with FRP. The proposed analytical model was validated with the existing experimental data for rectangular sections strengthened with FRP materials and considering torque-twist relationship and crack pattern at failure. The confined concrete behavior, in the case of FRP wrapping, was considered in the constitutive laws of concrete in the model. Then, an efficient algorithm was developed in MATLAB environment t
