The imitation of Some Quranic Phrases and Words in the Tale of "The Leprous Girl": Подражание некоторым фразам и словам Великого Корана в сказке “Девушка без рук”
...Show More Authors

The present paper is devoted to studying the imitation of some Quran phrases and words in the tale of "The Leprous Girl". The paper aims at identifying the common ground between the tale and some great stories related in the verses of the holy Quran, and comparing the original work with the present translation. First, we translated the tale from Russian into Arabic so as to be tackled in study, and then an identification of the commonalities between this tale and the Quran wording is made. It was found that texting is clear in the original text of the tale, hence the need for this paper. By studying the texts and phrases employed by the writer, we observe that the text is influenced by the Quranic stories whose effects have been reflected on the linguistic level and word choice. We find some sentences adopted form the Quran, and this shows that the tale teller has indeed been familiar with the Quranic text, or he might have been affected by its meaning unnoticeably. Where we find a clear citation in the text of the tale which calls on this search.

MODELING HOUSEHOLD TRIP GENERATION FOR SELECTED ZONES AT AL-KARKH SIDE OF BAGHDAD CITY
...Show More Authors

Trip generation is the first phase in the travel forecasting process. It involves the estimation of the
total number of trips entering or leaving a parcel of land per time period (usually on a daily basis);
as a function of the socioeconomic, locational, and land-use characteristics of the parcel.
The objective of this study is to develop statistical models to predict trips production volumes for a
proper target year. Non-motorized trips are considered in the modeling process. Traditional method
to forecast the trip generation volume according to trip rate, based on family type is proposed in
this study. Families are classified by three characteristics of population social class, income, and
number of vehicle ownersh

Thermal Conductivity Performance of Silica Aerogel after Exposition on Different Heating under Ambient Pressure
...Show More Authors

The varied thermal conductivity (insulation) of silica aerogel with heating for different pH has been investigated, it has been depended on ambient pressure drying method in the preparing silica aerogel samples, also six different pH of samples (1, 2, 3, 7, 8 and 9) were treated under five degree of heating with (50,100,150,200 and 250) ᴼC. This technique is important to test the carry-outs hydrophobic silica to temperature without high-quality material changes in the basic characteristics. The hot-wire technique is used in this work to examine the thermal conductivity, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) depended to characterize the bonds and their artificial by heating. Mobile application to develop nurses’ knowledge of pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation: A quasi-experimental study
...Show More Authors

Background: Traditional teaching methods of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) are not effective for most learners today. They may lead to lack of retention of survival skills and poor outcomes. Various methods are adopted to provide optimal, effective, and attractive teaching methods. Application (app)-based teaching can be used as an alternative way for learners to develop their knowledge and skills. Despite the large number of professional and nonprofessional trainee members, the high quality of CPR is still not fulfilled. Technology-based learning can prove to be an effective way to teach medical subjects such as pediatric cardiac resuscitation, which require an optimal teaching environ

Morphological study of porous aromatic schiff bases as a highly effective carbon dioxide storages
...Show More Authors

Carbon dioxide (CO2) capture and storage is a critical issue for mitigating climate change. Porous aromatic Schiff base complexes have emerged as a promising class of materials for CO2 capture due to their high surface area, porosity, and stability. In this study, we investigate the potential of Schiff base complexes as an effective media for CO2 storage. We review the synthesis and characterization of porous aromatic Schiff bases materials complexes and examine their CO2 sorption properties. We find that Schiff base complexes exhibit high CO2 adsorption capacity and selectivity, making them a promising candidate for use in carbon capture applications. Moreover, we investigate the effect of various parameters such as temperature, and pressu

Effluent quality assessment of Al-Diwaniyah sewage treatment plant based on wastewater quality index
...Show More Authors

Treated effluent wastewater is considered an alternative water resource which can provide an important contribution for using it in different purposes, so, the wastewater quality is very important for knowing its suitability for different uses before discharging it into fresh water ecosystems. The wastewater quality index (WWQI) may be considered as a useful and effective tool to assess wastewater quality by indicating one value representing the overall characteristic of the wastewater. It could be used to indicate the suitability of wastewater for different uses in water quality management and decision making. The present study was conducted to evaluate the Al-Diwaniyah sewage treatment plant (STP) effluent quality based on wastewa

Mobile Position Estimation based on Three Angles of Arrival using an Interpolative Neural Network
...Show More Authors

In this paper, the memorization capability of a multilayer interpolative neural network is exploited to estimate a mobile position based on three angles of arrival. The neural network is trained with ideal angles-position patterns distributed uniformly throughout the region. This approach is compared with two other analytical methods, the average-position method which relies on finding the average position of the vertices of the uncertainty triangular region and the optimal position method which relies on finding the nearest ideal angles-position pattern to the measured angles. Simulation results based on estimations of the mobile position of particles moving along a nonlinear path show that the interpolative neural network approach outperf

Improving Treatment Performance of Dissolved Air Flotation System by Using Ionic Liquids as Surfactants
...Show More Authors

The effect of three ionic liquids viz., 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (ILE), 1-hexyl-3-metylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate (ILF) and 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (ILG) when used as surfactants on the performance of dissolved air floatation (DAF) was investigated.

Experiments were conducted at a temperature of 30-35 ºC, 10ppm ferric chloride as coagulant, 50% recycle ratio, pH 8, and 10 minutes treatment time  to find oil and grease (OG) and turbidity removal efficiencies at saturation pressure (2-6) bar.

ILs were used at concentration of 50 µl/liter of treated water in two positions in DAF system; the saturation vessel and the treatment tank. The performance using ILs

Experimental Performance of a Finned-tube Silica Gel Adsorption Chiller for Air-Conditioning Application
...Show More Authors

This work presents the construction of a test apparatus for air-conditioning application that is flexible in changing a scaled down adsorbent bed modules. To improve the heat and mass transfer performance of the adsorbent bed, a finned-tube of the adsorbent bed heat exchanger was used. The results show that the specific cooling power (SCP) and the coefficient of performance (COP) are 163 W/kg and 0.16, respectively, when the cycle time is 40 min, the hot water temperature is 90oC, the cooling water temperature is 30oC and the evaporative water temperature is 11.4oC.
