Sound Assimilation in English and Arabic: a Contrastive Study

      This piece of research deals with assimilation as one of the phonological processes in the language. It is a trial to give more attention to this important process in English language with deep explanation to its counterpart in Arabic. in addition, this study sheds light on the points of similarities and differences concerning this process in the two languages. Assimilation in English means two sounds are involved, and one becomes more like the other.

     The assimilating phoneme picks up one or more of the features of another nearby phoneme. The English phoneme /n/ has the features alveolar, nasal, voiced. The phoneme /g/ has the features velar, plosive, voiced. The word language is pronounced ['laŋgwɪdʒ]. In this word, /n/ has assimilated to /g/ - it comes to have the features velar, nasal, voiced instead of alveolar, nasal, voiced. (/n/ - [ŋ] before /g/).

Studying the impact of condensate blockage on gas production: A review

When the drawdown pressure amounts to a value below the dew point pressure, a minor droplet of condensate is shaped and accumulated in the close area of wellbore. As the accumulation happens, the saturation of the liquid will grow and a reduction in gas relative permeability will happen, therefore it will affect the productivity. Generally, condensate baking problem in gas wells is being deliberated and studied and numerous techniques have been suggested to solve the problem. The studying of condensate banking dynamics is essential to evaluate the productivity and behavior of the wells of the gas fields.

CuInSe2 (CIS) as A light Absorption Layer of Photovoltaic Solar-Cells

Arrested precipitation methode used to synthesize CuInSe2 (CIS) nanocrystals were added to a hot solvent with organic capping ligands to control nanocrystal formation and growth. CIS thin films deposited onto Soda-Lima Glass (SLG) substrate by spray-coat, then selenized in Ar-atmosphere to form CIS thin films. PVs were made with power conversion efficiencies of 0.631% as-deposited and 0.846% after selenization, for Mo coated, under AM 1.5 illuminations. (XRD) and (EDX) it is evident that CIS have chalcopyrite structure as the major phase with a preferred orientation along (112) direction and Cu:In:Se nanocrystals is nearly 1:1:2 atomic ratio.
