Alice walker as an Activist and celebrator of Resistance in Meridian (1976) and The Color Purple (1982).
...Show More Authors

Alice Walker (1944) ranks among the greatest American writers of the twentieth century. Through her novels Meridian and the color Purple, Alice outlines many issues concerning the effect of authoritarian thinking upon its often innocent victims, and the possibility of meaningful, productive resistance. Walker's texts aim at giving a voice to those who have no voice especially those poor, rural black women who are robbed of power and the right to make decisions about their own lives by a range of forces standing against them. These texts also aim at clarifying how Walker's female protagonists, Meridian and Celia try to free themselves from oppression, misery , fear and underestimation by men in the Patriarchal  society.

Walker's heroines nevertheless articulate clear visions not just of the wrongs they face, but also of the hope and strength that cannot be quenched within them. In 1976, walker's second novel, Meridian, was published . The novel dealt with activist workers in the South during the civil rights movement, and closely paralleled some of Walker's own experiences. In 1982, Walker published  what has become her best-known work, the color Purple. The novel follows a young troubled black woman fighting her way through not just racist white culture but patriarchal black culture as well.

Walker has been described as an activist who is a defender not only of human rights but of all people. Walker through her effective style presents how African American woman who have been treated as slaves , will rebel and achieve brighter future life.

Kaolin/Gum Arabic Nanocomposite as Antifungal agent against Aspergillus Flavus and Saccharomyces cerevisiae: Kaolin/Gum Arabic Nanocomposite as Antifungal agent
...Show More Authors

Kaolin/Gum Arabic nanocomposite was cheaply synthesized from Kaolin and Gum Arabic. The Kaolin/Gum Arabic nanocomposite suspension, Gum Arabic extracts and Kaolin suspension were applied as antifungal agents. The antifungal activity was tested using agar well diffusion method where by wells were made on the petri dishes with cork borer 6mm diameter in size and various concentrations (150 µg/L, 200 µg/L, and 250 µg/L) of Gum Arabic ethanol extracts, Gum Arabic /Kaolin nanocomposite, and Kaolin was propelled into the wells with the help of micropipette and the petri dishes were allowed to stand for 30 minutes to ensure proper diffusion before being incubated at 37oC. The results showed that synthesized Kaolin/Gum Arabic nanoc

Sports risk has become a threat to the sports sector in general and the impact on an efficient player and the old stadiums in particular. So have such a thing fertile ground of global insurance companies to exploit it optimally exploited through the development and marketing of insurance lids for the provision of protection for athletes of different risks they may face, which contributed to the growth and development of the performance of these companies and helped in the emergence of sports insurance specialist firms. And through the insurance process in the field of sports and where the insurance is a type of social solidarity. The main problem is this spirit manifested search in question is whether to embrace sports institutions sport

Synthesis of gold nanoparticles using ceftriaxone sodium as a reducing and stabilizing agent
...Show More Authors

The synthesis of gold nanoparticles AuNPs was achievedby the reduction of sodium tetrachloroaurate (III) (NaAuCl4) with ceftriaxone sodium (CR) in aqueous solutionswithout the use of other reducing agent. The effect of reactants concentration, temperature and pH on the sizes and morphology of AuNPs were also studied. The synthesized AuNPs were characterized by UV- visible spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), and atomic force microscope (AFM) analysis. Conjugation of antibiotic with the nanoparticles was characterized by FTIR spectrophotometry.

Total Phenolic Exudation and Allelopathic Potential of Sunflower Residues as Sustainable Weed Management
...Show More Authors

Total releasing phenolic compounds and allelopathic potential of the three sunflower genotypes Helianthus annuus L. residues were evaluated under open field conditions on weed flora associated with the proposed crops; wheat, broad bean and flax which are cultivated usually after the sunflower crop as successive crops. After getting seed from the sunflower crop. After getting seeds, sunflower plant parts were chopped and incorporated with field soil using a rotavator. Regarding the phenolics, total phenolic compounds released from sunflower residues were increased in-field soil and reached the highest concentration in the fourth week after mixing with soil. Significant suppression of weed flora was observed when the weed

Surface Photometry and Morphology Properties of Spiral Galaxies: NGC4725, NGC4639 as Case Study
...Show More Authors

In this study, two active galaxies (NGC4725, NGC4639) have been chosen to study their morphological and photometric properties, by using the IRAF ISOPHOTE ELLIPS task with griz-filters. Observations are obtained from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) which reaches now to the DATA Release (DR14). The data reduction of all images (bias and flat field) has been done by SDSS Pipeline. The surface photometric investigation was performed like the magnitude. Together with isophotal contour maps, surface brightness profiles and a bulge/disk decomposition of the images of the galaxies, although the disk position angle, ellipticity, and inclination of the galaxies have been done. Also, the color of galaxies was studied, where chromatic distribution

Preparation and Characterization of In2O3-CuO Nanocomposite Thin Films as NH3 Gas Sensor
...Show More Authors

An NH3 gas sensor was prepared from nanocomposite films of indium oxide-copper oxide mixtures with ratios of 0 , 10 , and 20 Vol % of copper oxide. The films were deposited on a glass substrate using chemical spray pyrolysis method (CSP) at 400oC. The structural properties were studied by using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and atomic force microscopy ( AFM). The structural results showed that the prepared thin films are polycrystalline, with nano grain size. By mixing copper oxide with indium oxide, the grain size of the prepared thin films was decreased and the surface roughness was increased. The UV-Visible spectrometer analysis showed that the prepared thin films have high transmittance.
