A Discourse Taxonomy of Language Cliched Units in English and Russian: Дискурсивная таксономия языковых клишированных единиц в английском и русском языках

 The paper exposes a discourse taxonomy of language clichéd units in English and Russian, and presents some definitions of what is a cliché as being a semioticform of perceiving language and discourse. Also, it deals with language clichés as being units of structure reflecting a scheme of stereotypical situations of dialogue, whether among individuals of one culture, or in relation to cross-cultural communication. The paper proposes a taxonomy of units in language clichés in English and Russian by tackling clichés of daily use, such as professional, cultural, artistic, and scientific clichés.

Аннотация.

 В статье представлена дискурсивная таксономия языковых клишированных единиц в английском и русском языках; представлены дефиниции понятий клише как знакового образования когниции, языка и дискурса, а также ж языкового клише как стандартизированного конструкта, отражающего схему семиотизации стереотипных ситуаций общения как между представителями одной культуры, так и в межкультурной коммуникации; таксономия языковых клишированных единиц в английском и русском языках представлена бытовыми, профессиональными, культурно-художественными и научными клише.

The improvement in Direction of Arrival (DOA) estimation when the received signals impinge on Active-Parasitic Antenna (APA) arrays will be studied in this work. An APA array consists of several active antennas; others are parasitic antennas. The responses to the received signals are measured at the loaded terminals of the active element. Water quality planning relies on Biochemical Oxygen Demand BOD. BOD testing takes five days. The Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is increasingly used for water resource forecasting. This work designed a PSO technique for estimating everyday BOD at Al-Rustumiya wastewater treatment facility inlet. Al-Rustumiya wastewater treatment plant provided 702 plant-scale data sets during 2012-2022. The aim of the experiment was to study the effects of foliar application of a-tocopherol concentrations (0, 50, 100, 150, 200 mg.L-1) on growth parameters and the activity of some antioxidant enzymes of wheat plant irrigated with sodium chloride concentrations (0, 75, 150, 225) mM.L-1.
