Las formas no personales del verbo en español y su traducción al árabe Non-personal forms of the verb in Spanish and their translations into Arabic
...Show More Authors

Abstract

Each language has its own grammatical rules. Certain structural similarities among languages are just possible; a whole coincidence between two languages is impossible. Grammatical structure of Arabic differs, in the best part of it, from that of Spanish, particularly regarding tenses, aspects and morphological structures.

The current study tackles one of the morphological structures used in Spanish, the verb non-personal forms, i. e., the infinitive, active participle and passive participle which are non-personal and have no tense, i. e., they do not denote any reference to person or tense.

The main aim of this study is to show how these forms may be accurately and correctly translated into Arabic. These forms have functions and importance in the Spanish sentence, hence, this importance ought to be known in order to be translated correctly into Arabic.

The functions of these forms differ from the functions of the infinitive, active participle and passive participle in Arabic. Infinitive in Spanish is the noun of the verb. In Spanish, the infinitive of the verb 'travel', for instance, is 'travel'. Whereas the infinitive in Arabic is an utterance indicates an event which does not correspond to certain tense, such as the verb 'beat' whose infinitive form is 'beat'.

The active participle in Spanish functions as an adverb; the passive participle functions as an adjective. Both have grammatical functions and importance. In Arabic, the active participle and the passive participle are derivatives. The active participle is derived from the active verb to indicate the characteristics of the doer of the verb, such as, write: writer. The passive participle is derived from the passive verb to indicate the characteristics of the one who received the verb, such as, beat: beaten.

The present study is divided into two parts, the first of which view the theoretical aspect of the non-personal forms of the verb in Spanish with a brief introduction to the infinitive, the active participle and the passive participle in Arabic to show the differences between them in the two languages.

The second part shows the translation of these forms into Arabic. It tackles the grammatical importance which enables the translator to render them into Arabic correctly. The examples which include non-personal forms of the verb are adopted from (Rozario Techeras) by the Colombian novelist Georges Franco and their correct translation into Arabic.

Robust adaptive active disturbance rejection control of an electric furnace using additional continuous sliding mode component
...Show More Authors

The temperature control process of electric heating furnace (EHF) systems is a quite difficult and changeable task owing to non-linearity, time delay, time-varying parameters, and the harsh environment of the furnace. In this paper, a robust temperature control scheme for an EHF system is developed using an adaptive active disturbance rejection control (AADRC) technique with a continuous sliding-mode based component. First, a comprehensive dynamic model is established by using convection laws, in which the EHF systems can be characterized as an uncertain second order system. Second, an adaptive extended state observer (AESO) is utilized to estimate the states of the EHF system and total disturbances, in which the observer gains are updated

Solving linear fractional Fredholm integro-differential equations using linear programming method via different types of polynomials
...Show More Authors

This article introduces a novel procedure to detect an approximate solution to Fredholm fractional integro-differential equations with linear type (LFFIDE) defined using Caputo fractional derivative. The new procedure approximates the solution using three types of polynomials: Laguerre polynomials, Hermite polynomials, and Legendre polynomials, thereafter transforming the problem into a linear programming problem. The approximate solutions are compared using testing examples to examine the efficiency of the suggested approach. Also, a comparison with the other methods using the same polynomials illustrates The effectiveness and consistency of the proposed technique. Finally, the error analysis of the proposed technique and convergent are di

DNA BARCODING OF NORTH AFRICAN CATFISH CLARIAS GARIEPINUS (BURCHELL, 1822) (SILURIFORMES, CLARIIDAE) FROM TIGRIS RIVER, IRAQ
...Show More Authors

The conservation for biodiversity in Iraqi freshwater environments is important to protecting native species from the environmental impacts of alien species. Clarias gariepinus (Burchell, 1822) (Siluriformes, Clariidae) has been recognized as an alien species in Iraqi water bodies. This study aims to use molecular DNA to identify this catfish and trace its origins using. The DNA sequences of C. gariepinus were done using the mitochondrial DNA cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (COI) gene, and a specific primer set. The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification was used to align the COI gene as a barcoding marker. After analysis, the sequences were compared with sequences in the National Center for Biology Information (NCBI) database

Simulation of passively Q-switched rate equation using saturable crystal Dy +2: CaF2 with ruby laser
...Show More Authors

The simulation of passively Q-switching is four non – linear first order differential equations. The optimization of passively Q-switching simulation was carried out using the constrained Rosenbrock technique. The maximization option in this technique was utilized to the fourth equation as an objective function; the parameters, γa, γc and β as were dealt with as decision variables. A FORTRAN program was written to determine the optimum values of the decision variables through the simulation of the four coupled equations, for ruby laser Q–switched by Dy +2: CaF2.For different Dy +2:CaF2 molecules number, the values of decision variables was predicted using our written program. The relaxation time of Dy +2: CaF2, used with ruby was

PDF Design Optical BPF Using Double Clad Fiber MZI for Free Space Optical Communication: Mohanad G. Khamees , Tahreer S. Mansour*
...Show More Authors

Abstract: A novel design of Mach Zehnder Interferometer (MZI) in terms of using special type of optical fiber that has double clad with graded distribution of the refractive index that can be easily implemented practically was suggested and simulated in this work. The suggested design is compact, rapid, and is simple to be modified and tested. The simulated design contains a MZI of 1546.74 nm of central wavelength that is constructed using special type of double clad optical fiber that has two different numerical apertures. The first aperture will supply single mode propagation via its core, while the second numerical aperture supports a zigzag wave propagation (multimode) in the first clad region. The interferometer’s
