This study includes structural and stratigraphic interpretation of 3D seismic reflection data for Zubair Formation (L. Cretaceous) within Al-Akhadeir area, southwestern Iraq (Karbala Governorate). Depending on the 3D seismic reflection interpretation process, and based on the synthetic seismogram  and well logs data, two horizons were identified and selected (top and base Zubair  reflectors). The microwave induced plasma jet (MIPJ) system was built using local materials and based on a tapered waveguide. The parameters of this plasma were determined like electron temperature Te, electron density ne. the other parameters such as plasma frequency( fp), the Debye length( λD), and the number of particles in the Debye sphere( Nd) It has also been studied. The study were done at different Ar flow rate ranging from (2-10) l/m and a discharge tube diameter ranging from (2-10) mm. all of these parameters were determined depending on the MIPJ spectrum. it turned out that there is a high possibility of controlling the parameters of MIPJ through manipulating these parameters.

In this paper, a study was made to determine the properties of Jovian radio bursts emitted at frequency 20.1MHZ. The data were provided from the Radio Jove archive for twelve years (2000-2012) for multi stations. The duration time for Long bursts (L) was (10-30) seconds and for Short bursts (S) was (10-20) seconds. The effect of radio bursts from the Sun and the galactic background were calculated at the same frequency and were found that radio bursts from the Sun will reduce the occurrence probability of Jovian radio bursts much more than radio bursts from the galactic background. The distribution of Jovian radio bursts was different; the occurrence probability with respect to the northern latitudes was more than the southern latitudes.

A gliding arc discharge (GAD) with a water spray system was constructed. A non-thermal plasma, generated between two V shaped electrodes in an ambient argon driven by 100 Hz AC voltage, was investigated using optical emission spectroscopy (OES) with different gas flow rates (0.5, 1, 1.5, 2 , 2.5 , 3  1/min).
