A series of tests were conducted to determine the susceptibility of eggs and neonates of the Rice Weevil Sitophilus oryzae L. (Coleoptera: Curculionidae), exposed to the insect growth regulator, Pyriproxyfen, on filter paper and on rough rice. In the first test, the hatch rate of eggs exposed on filter paper treated with Pyriproxyfen at the label rate of 0.003 mg [AI] /cm2 when used as a surface treatment in structures was 52.0 ± 7.3% compared to 93.0 ± 3.3% on untreated controls. Noor Oil Field is one of Iraqi oil fields located in Missan province / Amarah city. This field is not subjected to licensing rounds, but depends on the national effort of  Missan Oil Company. The first two wells in the field were drilled in seventies and were  not opened to production until 2009. The aim of this study is to study the possibility of using the method of gas lift to increase the productivity of this field . Cadmium sulfide and Aluminum doped CdS thin films were prepared by thermal evaporation technique in vacuum on a heated glass substrates at 373K. A comparison between the optical properties of the pure and doped films was made through measuring and analyzing the transmittance curves, and the effect of the annealing temperature on these properties were estimated.
