Abstract
Objective: To assess pregnant women Knowledge toward Urinary Tract Infection at Kirkuk City.

Methodology: A descriptive and analytical study was conducted from 1st of November 2013 and up to the 19 th of August 2014 in five typical primary health care centers at Kirkuk City. A Probability (randomly sample) was used to select the sample of 180 women aged (15-44) years. A questionnaire format was used as a tool for data collection , content validity of the questionnaire achieved through reviewing it by (24) experts in numerous scientific fields and reliability of the questionnaire was determined through a pilot study. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data.

Background: The relation between insulin resistance ,leptin levels and other hormones in women with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS) is still controversial.Metformin therapy is proved effective in reducing insulin resistance and also in some studies it was seen to be effective in reducing leptin levels.

Objective: to study the effect of metformin on reducing leptin levels and enhancing ovulation in PCOS women.
Methods:metformin 500mg 3 times daily for 3 months was was given to 36 women
with proved PCOS, in addition to that, other parameters were included.

      Background: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is common heterogeneous disorder syndrome in females, characterized by chronic oligoovulation, polycystic ovary, and hyperandrogenism. This study aimed to the association of ferritin and transforming growth factor- β1 (TGF-β1) levels with insulin resistance, cardiovascular and type 2 diabetes risks. Patients and methods: (61) Iraqi women with PCOS patients diagnosed according to the Rotterdam criteria, were subdivided according to their Body Mass Index (BMI) to: (20) lean women with normal BMI: (18-24), (17) overweight women with BMI: (25-29) and (25) obese women with BMI >30.
