To investigate the effect of spraying some plant extraction and anti-oxidants on growth and yield of two cultivars of sunflower, a field experiment was conducted during fall season of 2009 and spring season of 2010 at the Experimental Farm, Department of Field Crop Science, College of Agriculture/ University of Baghdad. RCBD with three replications as factorial at two factors was used. First factor was cultivars Akmar and Shmoss, second was spraying with extraction of karkade at 25%, liquorices at 50%, vitamin C at concentration 1.5 mg.l-1 and nutrient which content 15 elements at concentration 15 % in addition to control treatment which sprayed with distilled water only. The current research aimed to analyze the importance, correlation and the effect of independent variables represented by marketing variables on the dependent variable represented by local brand, through taking ENIEM as a model for this study, which represents a sensitive sector for the Algerian consumer. This paper presents the synthesis and study of some new mixed-liagnd complexes containing tow amino acids[Alanine(Ala) and phenylalanine (phe)] with some metals . The results products were found to be solid crystalline complexes which have been characterized by using (FT-IR,UV-Vis) spectra , melting point, elemental analysis (C.H.N) , molar conductivity and solubilty The proposed structure of the complexes using program , chem office 3D(2000) .     The synthesis , characterization and mesomorphic behaviour of new Nacyl , thiourea and imidazole derivatives which derived from corresponding Schiff bases are reported.             All the synthesized compounds which contain flexible methylene group in the centre of the molecule did not show any liquid crystalline properties . The derivatives of N- acyl [III]e  and thiourea [VI]e  which contain  biphenyl and all compounds with one phenyl in the centre of the molecule display liquid crystalline behaviour .While the imidazoles did not show any liquid crystalline properties except [V]b [V]e  with biphenyl in the centre of the molecule .
