The article states that the Russian verbs of destruction belong to the lexical-semantic group of physical impact. They include verbs with the meaning of “damage” and “destroy”. It is emphasized that each of these groups is relatively independent; the cut line between them is fuzzy and arbitrary. Eine in fast allen Kommentaren zu der Satzbaubeschreibung gegen die arabischen Nationalgrammatiker gerichtete Kritik ist, daß sie den Satzbau des Arabischen nicht unter einem Hauptgesichtpunkt gefaßt und zusammenhängend entwickelt, sondern mehr in einzelne Teile auseinander gelegt haben, in der Weise, daß sie vom Einzelnen zum Ganzen ausgingen.
