In this research, we have measured specific activity concentrations in five samples for raw materials used in ceramic industry in AL-Ramadi ceramic factory by using (HPGe) detector. The results have shown that, the average specific activity, for ²³⁸U, ²³²Th and ⁴⁰K are equal to (18.300±6.4 Bq/kg), (17.988±6.1 Bq/kg), (167.952±63.5 Bq/kg), respectively.  In order to assess the radiological hazards of the radioactivity in samples, radium equivalent activity, absorbed gamma dose rate, indoor and outdoor annual effective dose rates, gamma Index and both (external and internal) hazard effects have been calculated. All results were found to be less than the allowed global limit given by (UNSCEAR, 2000).

The Southern Cowpea Beetle Callosobruchus maculatus (F.) is one of the most widespread insect pests of stored legumes, causing a considerable loss during storage, decreasing the net weight of the crops, and resulting in reduced the quality of the crops. This study has been conducted to determine the lifetime, fertility and life table parameters of C. maculatus by using an alkaloids extract from Moringa oleifera leaves at different concentrations 1000, 2000, and 3000 ppm. This work presents an experimental study of heat transfer and flow of distilled water and metal oxide nanofluid Fe₃O₄-distilled water at concentrations of (φ = 0.3, 0.6, 0.9 %) by volume in a horizontal pipe with constant magnetic field. All the tests are carried out with Reynolds number range (2900-9820) and uniform heat flux (11262-19562 W/m²). The results show that, the nanofluid concentration and magnetic intensity increase, the Nusselt number increases. The maximum enhancement in Nusselt number with magnetic nanofluid is (5.4 %, 26.4 %, 42.7 %) for volume concentration (0.3, 0.6, 0.9 %) respectively. Coagulation-flocculation process using natural polymers has grown rapidly in wastewater treatment. In this work, the performance of alum and Polyaluminum Chloride (PACl) when used alone and when coupled with Fenugreek mucilage on the treatment of pulp and paper mill wastewater were studied. The experiments were carried out in jar tests with alum, PACl and Fenugreek mucilage dosages range of 50-2000 mg/L, rapid mixing at 200 rpm for 2 min, followed by slow mixing at 40 rpm for 15 min and settling time of 30 min.
