Augustine’s theory of knowledge
...Show More Authors

The issue of epistemology is one of the theological issues that were and still is a relentless pursuit of knowledge, knowing the true knowledge of certainty. Therefore, it formed a main focus because of its great importance expressing the deep desire of the human soul to explore the self and reality and answer all the questions that it may raise. Knowledge is the highest function. For man to exist.

Therefore, the establishment of epistemology was general in knowledge, a characteristic that was distinguished, as it is an ancient and renewed subject that is still being raised and raised, although there are many methods of treating it and sacred solutions to it. To finally prove its potential.

The research proved that Saint Augustine established and defined the method to be followed in order to attain knowledge and explain how it occurred, so the beginning was to prove the first truth or the cogito, which stands firm and not shaken by all the arguments of the skeptics, and Augustine arrived to the knowledge of God from analyzing the data of the inner life, and he established that knowledge The correct view is the divine radiance on the human mind, as it saw that the rational soul sees the facts related to the sensible world in immaterial light, just as the eye sees the things surrounding it in material light.

The research emphasized that the world of proverb is the subject of certain science in Plato’s view, while the realm of sense is the world of change as it oscillates between existence and non-existence, so it is only suitable as a basis for conjecture, relying on elements of his philosophy such as saying in kind, gradations in perfection and beings.

The research necessitated the Augustine belief in the Platonic epistemology when he saw the necessity of searching for truth and certainty over the senses and the sensory world. He was also inspired by Plato to say the same as examples and origins of all beings that are not what they are except

because they participate in these paradigms

In this paper, the complexes of Shiff base of Methyl -6-[2-(diphenylmethylene)amino)-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)acetamido]-2,2-dimethyl-5-oxo-1-thia-4-azabicyclo[3.2.0]heptane-3-carboxylate (L) with Cobalt(II), Nickel(II), Cupper(II) and Zinc(II) have been prepared. The compounds have been characterized by different means such as FT-IR, UV-Vis, magnetic moment, elemental microanalyses (C.H.N), atomic absorption, and molar conductance. It is obvious when looking at the spectral study that the overall complexes obtained as monomeric structure as well as the metals center moieties are two-coordinated with octahedral geometry excepting Co complexes that existed as a tetrahedral geometry.
