Abstract

Epidemics that afflict humankind are descending renewed, plaguing them in the place and time they spread.

- The epidemic affects individuals and the movement of societies, and its treatment requires dealing with it according to Sharia, taking into account the current data and developments.

- Integrative jurisprudence: it is intended to know the practical legal rulings deduced from the combination of evidence of two or more sciences related to one topic related to it, and among these calamities is the Corona Covid-19 pandemic.

 - It is permissible to use sterile materials that contain a percentage of alcohol in sterilizing hands and fogging places, including mosques.

There is no objection to praying and supplicating in it and pleading with God Almighty, in order to ward off the calamity and lift the epidemic.

Stopping Friday prayers and congregations in mosques, and praying at home.

Honoring the deceased is a Sharia duty, and duties are waived due to disability or severe embarrassment, so that what is possible will be obtained from them, according to what the specialists consider regarding the effects of the spread of the epidemic.

An epidemic is a disease, and if a trusted Muslim doctor decides that fasting will harm the person with the epidemic, then it is permissible for him to break the fast. Because he is sick, and sickness is one of the excuses that allow breaking the fast.

It is permissible to pay zakat to the poor and the needy patient with what meets his needs in terms of treatment and others, and it may be paid to needy people with limited income and daily wages whose work has been disrupted due to preventive measures such as prohibiting and closing work shops.

- It is also permissible to expedite giving it because there is a need for it, and finally it is delegated to give alms when the epidemic breaks with the intention of paying it.

- The basic principle is to establish the ritual of Hajj, even with a minimum number of pilgrims, with strictness in adopting preventive measures and precautionary measures to control the spread of the epidemic, with an emphasis on postponing the performance of Hajj and Umrah as a matter of priority when the epidemic spreads.

The Correlation of Serum Periostin Level with Disease Severity in Patients with Covid -19
...Show More Authors

Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an emerging zoonotic disease caused by the new respiratory virus SARS-CoV2. It has a tropism in the lung tissues where excess target receptors exist. Periostin plays a role in subepithelial fibrosis associated with bronchial asthma. Since the Coronavirus's target is the human respiratory system, Periostin has been recently described as a valuable new biomarker in the diagnosis and evaluation of disease in patients with COVID-19 lung involvement. Objectives: To assess the level of Periostin in the serum of COVID-19 patients and to correlate its role in disease severity and prognosis. Subjects and Methods: Periostin serum levels were measured for 63 patients attending three main COVID

A Computational Model of the Brain Cortex and Its Synchronization
...Show More Authors

Obtaining the computational models for the functioning of the brain gives us a chance to understand the brain functionality thoroughly. This would help the development of better treatments for neurological illnesses and disorders. We created a cortical model using Python language using the Brian simulator. The Brian simulator is specialized in simulating the neuronal connections and synaptic interconnections. The dynamic connection model has multiple parameters in order to ensure an accurate simulation (Bowman, 2016). We concentrated on the connection weights and studied their effect on the interactivity and connectivity of the cortical neurons in the same cortical layer and across multiple layers. As synchronization helps us to mea
